My dog chewed up a twenty dollar bill, and some ones. Will I be able to take the pieces I recovered to the bank to get new bills? (Most of the chewed up bills are left; they are pretty much just ripped in half and crumpled.)

Depends on how chewed up they are, but sounds like you have enough pieces to trade in at a bank for replacement money. If you have over half of each bill, they'll probably accept it.

As long as you have at least 51% of each bill, you can exchange it for a new one.
