I get paid monthly and i just got my monthly check. and i want to know how much im charged, theres always that chance that a stub maybe incorrect, and i dont know the % the feral government or the state of pennsylvania charge.
If anyone knows this thanks alot!

hay judy i think you have a great answer, but its a bit incomplete. Im a dependent so im not sure the procedure for people like us. and im also not sure what the % is or should be

At $500 a month gross, unless you are a dependent or married filing separately you wouldn't owe any federal tax and wouldn't even have to file, but if anything was deducted for federal income tax you should file to get it refunded to you.

In PA you will be required to file. PA has a flat rate of 3.07% from the first dollar, but you might be eligible for tax forgiveness - look for form SP.

The likelihood of a paystub being incorrect is extremely remote. Most payroll is processed by automated systems that are extremely accurate. Most payroll errors are due to either miscalculation of the hours actually worked or incorrect filing of Form W-4 by the employee.
