Is this Receiver/Dispatcher job legit? I contacted this person through craigslist and he emailed me with more info about the position. Basically, he sends me packages through the mail and when I receive it, I print out a shipping label and ship it out myself. He also states that I will be provided with prepaid shipping labels so I'm not spending my own $. This is what I have to do after I receive the packages:
1:CONFIRM THE RECEIPTS OF PACKAGE DELIVERED
2:I WILL MAKE ADEQUATE SHIPPING LABELS AND REGARDS WEIGHTS PROVIDED
AND HAVE THE LABELS SENT TO YOU VIA EMAIL(THE LABELS REPRESENT PAYMENT
FOR SHIPPING THE ITEMS TO THEIR DESTINATIONS)

3:YOU PRINT OUT THE LABEL AND TAKE THE LABELS AND ITEMS TO THE NEAREST
POST OFFICE,DHL OR FEDEX STATION,THE COURIER WOULD HAVE THE SHIPPING
SORTED OUT.

Oh and he wants a copy of my drivers license (send to him email or fax) for record purposes. Is this a scam???

it could be legit, but the bottom line is that if it is not, you are committing a crime

i have seen this before where good people act as mules for criminals without knowing it. if it (the package) tracks back to you, you could end up spending much more than you make in legal fees, I would stay clear of it

it seems this was called a dead drop, where the seller, the guy on craigs list, gets the orders and then he isolates himself from you so that you would be the one committing the criminal act of moving whatever the item is, if it is illegal

here is why i think that. if it was a legit company, he is risking you not sending the product out and he would have to refund the money, if he is not worried about that, then something sounds criminal

i would steer clear of this

Because it is craigslist, I would be suspicious right off the bat. There are a lot of shady schemes on that site (just like there are a lot of shady sellers on ebay). Secondly, legitimate businesses don't do business that way. I would avoid this.

This is most likely NOT legit. If it's legit, why would he need you and not just send them to the end recipient in the first place?
