I just got hired at AMC and the brochure says this about my Pay Periods.
The pay period for hourly associates begins on a Friday and ends the following Thursday. Hourly associates are paid every other week on Thursdays, one week after the end of the pay period. (Note: there is a 7-day delay between the last day of the pay period and payday).

This might sound stupid, but doesn't tha mean that.. let's say i work friday, saturday, and sunday right? and the pay period ends on the thursday after that, it's saying i'll get paid a week after that thursday, right? Well, wouldn't I have to go through another weekend of work DURING the pay process? So would I get paid only ONE week every other week, even if I worked two weeks? Sorry if it's confusing, but I'm very curious.

You get paid every two weeks.

Week one: Friday through Thursday: No pay check
Week two: Friday through Thursday: No pay check, turn in you time sheet.
Week three: Friday through Thursday: Pay Day
Week four: Friday through Thursday: time sheet
Week five: Friday through Thursday: Pay Day.

that's if you start at the beginning of a pay period. Essentially, one week you turn in your time sheet and the next week you get paid.
