Because our needs have changed, we want to sell our current house and purchase another one. The problem is, is that we owe more than it is worth. We aren't in any financial danger on our current loan, and our credit is excellent. Is there any loans or programs you can do to roll negative equity into a new house? Thanks!

Thank you for looking. I am 19 years old and already in around $12,000 in my own debt, not counting around $7,000 that I owe my family. The sad part is I dont even know where half of this money went. What can I do to get out? I am really thinking of filing for banruptcy. Does anyone know if I actually can? I just dont know how to pay off this debt. I barely make $2,000 a month, and have a $700.00 car payment. I cant do debt counseling since I cant make such a big monthly payment. Is it true if you do debt settlement, that they can garnish your wages? Please help me. Thank you

I work for Mervyns in San Jose, however, later on today I'm going to quit (as in quit today, no 2 weeks notice.) I was wondering if anyone knows when I'll be getting all my money from them. Do they give me my final paycheck on the spot? In the mail? Do I have to come back on their next scheduled payday?

Thanks in advance.

She has no job and no income for the year. I do not make near $30,000 so I am not in a higher tax bracket. Would we get more money if I claimed her as opposed to her?

My husband has full custody of his son and we have provided for him for the whole year. Now that I am getting everything ready for the first of the year I am wondering if I might be entitled to earned income credit for his son. My husband will not be filing and I will be filing as head of household. Does anyone know if I should be getting money back or not. Oh and we got married over the summer and I have not adopted the son or anything like that. But I am providing for him financially. Let me know what you think, Thanks

I was wondering if it costs more (than the current postage stamp price of 41 cents) to send letters to Hawaii compared to the rest of the US on the mainland. I am sending from California, USA.

I am not interested in sending a package, just a regular < 3 ounce letter.

Ok heres my situation...

I started working in a photo album factory and worked for a month and then i left because my arthritis in my feet was arrivated. However my podiatrist said i should not have left that the treatment he could give me would help me to stay in the job...

after a month of jobsearching i swallowed my pride and rang my boss and asked for my job back. I said the new medication my doctor was giving me and treatment from my podiatrist was working really well and i dont feel the pain, which is the truth. My feet feel great now.

The job is highly repetive , just feeding paper photo frames through a glue machine using both arms. After awhile i developed a bad case of r.s.i in my shoulder, so i had to ask my boss if i could do somthing else..what he gave me was still repetitive and worse...later today he called me into his office and told me he couldnt give me any work and would not give me a week off to recover...and basically fired me because of my arms....

Basically I got scammed for $2600. I sold a car and was given a cashiers check. I took that check to the bank where they verified and then deposited most of that check. I waited almost two weeks before using the money to pay off some bills. 3 days after that the bank notified me that the check was a fraud and they wanted their money back asap. I have direct deposit so everything that went into the account was taken until we could go in and make payment arrangements with them. We were told at the bank by several of the management team that it was our fault and that there was nothing they could do. They pretty much pressured us into getting a high interest loan to pay off the amount we owed. Is this right? Was this our fault? No one has been very helpful with this. The bank simply wants their money back. Can anyone help?

We have about 5% ownership of a small company where most shareholders are family members or friends. The stock value has decreased dramatically. I would like to sell my stock and take loss. Not many people know the company except the family and friends who are already shareholders. May I sell to some of the family members and take loss? Even if I surrender my shares to the company, it seems that it will benefit all shareholders as their actual ownership will increase proportionally. Can I surrender my shares, "benefit" those family members who are majority owners, and take loss?

Alternatively, can I sell to relatives who are not already a shareholder of this company? Who among the relatives I can sell the shares to and still take loss in my tax return?

We have been working with a realtor for the past 6 months... she had been assisting us in our search for a home. Recently, she has asked us to sign an agreement with her. It states that if we purchase a home... she's our realtor for that transaction, no matter how the home was found. Our question is... should we sign an agreement like that? Does it help us in any way? Do most buyers realtors ask their clients to sign an agreement with them?

Thanks in advance for any advice! :)

I wanted to know some tips into going into the culinary field. I have not done that much cooking, everything I have cooked has turned out pretty good, and once I make something once it just becomes second nature. So I know I have some skill, however I lack the technical knowledge and experience to just do things, to think up things, and all of that. However I have always had a passion for cooking, and I admire chefs a ton. There is a chance I could have a job apprenticing at a resturaunt and going to culinary school, but I would need to know most of the basics before I did that. I do not have enough money where I can just start throwing stuff in a pan and seeing how it comes out, atleast not often. I was wondering if any chef's or people knowledgable in the field cound give me some advice on how to get the basics down, flavors of stuff, techniques, so like any books or anything you would suggest?

Thanks a ton

I'm 18 years old student working part time job.. making 7 bucks an hour.. I've been having federal taxes, state taxes, medicare, and north Carolina withholding taken out from my paycheck every week.. i make about 400~500 a month.. i will expect to make about 2500~3000 before i quit for college.. i have recently found out if i'm dependent, which means if i still live with my parents, i can be exempted from taxes by filing out a w-4 form...

my questions are..

1. if i file w-4 form, will i be exempted from taxes?
2. if i get exempted from taxes, then how can i get the taxes i paid for 3 pay checks?

So I am exploring some ideas for a career. I just recently graduated and now want to get my life rolling. I was considering being a naturopathic doctor, but 8 years in school...I don't think I could do that. I have always considered opening a business, of many kinds. I was just wondering if anybody could give me any advice on things to read or classes to take to learn about all of that? And to anybody who has a business or is planning on it, I know its risky regardless, but with hard work if I have alot of knowledge and a set goal, is it very unlikely to succeed in that field?

Thanks a ton

Is the "overpayment" how much Im going to get back or is that how much I will have to pay? I also have a Dental Loan that I took out to pay for some dental work I had done. Does that qualify as a Medical/Dental deduction?
