Be honest and tell your employer about it as soon as you notice it. Otherwise, it can turn up when they review their finances down the road, and at the very least they will start to look at you differently, because you knowingly took more pay then you should have gotten.

Mention it. First of all, it's the right thing to do. And they'll probably catch the mistake, and you'll look dishonest if you just tried to keep it. You'll have to pay it back in either case.

It isn't yours. Tell your employer because when they find the error they will withhold the overpayment from a future paycheck. You might as well deal with it now.

when its found out, you will be docked anyway. if its a small amount, you can play like you didnt know but if its a LARGE amount, you will be viewed like a snake for something you didnt even do. a no win situation
