If I short sell my home for $50,000 less than what is owed, the bank will then submit a 1099. What does this mean exactly? Will I be paying for an extra $50,000 income or is this essentially a bill from Uncle Sam for $50,000?

I've just accepted a position as an admissions coordinator for a Hospice Care company and was just wondering how difficult of a job it is. The pay/benefits package is fantastic but I'm concerned as to what exactly I'm getting myself into besides the obvious job description and day to day tasks I've been told about.

I only have one hand. I have never had a problem doing anything with one hand before but the nursing school has some doubts whether i'll be able to do it or not. I would like to know if any nurses or doctors out there have ever worked with someone with only one hand and if they wree able to do everything. I would like to get in contact with someone who is actually in my situation to talk about this. Any advice would be helpful!

We found out 6 days after closing that our house sank ( apparently it was sank when we bought it) the builder would not buy it back . They did pay part of the cost to have basement to be finished & they put helical piers under the house where it settled .
Did I lose $ on it sinking ?

Until recently I worked at a company with no pension plan. So I started a stakeholder about six years ago.

Now I have moved to a new company that has a pension plan - and they'll make contributions based on how much i contribute.

My question is this, shall I:

a. move my stakeholder over into the company plan
b. keep the stakeholder where it is - but start paying into the company plan
c. keep going with the stakeholder and don't do anything

Now I am sure a or b is the answer - but any guidance would be muchos appreciated!

There is a home next to us with a lien notice on the door. It has been sitting empty for over a year and I'm not sure on the ownership details. By looking at the notice it seems the lien has been placed on the house by the HOA. It is in the amount of $1146.78. Is it true that you can pay the lien amount for someone and somehow be entitled to the home? How does this work? By the way we're in Arizona.

Thanks!

I was told the following when showed my apartment: 1. I can get DSL internet. (very important - most of my classes are taken online. Turns out, I cannot get DSL and there are no phone lines set up and I will have to pay $95 to run each line, one for phone and one for internet.) 2. We will be splitting the bills 3 ways. 1/3 per unit and I was led to believe that it would be myself and my 10 month old son in one unit, the single female owner in the second and largest unit, and a married couple in the third. (Turns out the owner's adult daughter, adult grandson, and teenage grandaughter and either 6 or 7 dogs live with her. I can't tell how many for sure - atleast 6.) 3. There is a washer/dryer. (Turns out she charges 40/month to use it. Not optional.) 4. She said there was a satellite dish if we chose to use it. (Turns out I have to use it because cable company doesn't service there.) She asked for bill money right away-not based on usage unless more. I was told this 2 wks after I moved.

I have just bought something online with my switch card from a major electrical retailer and the transaction has gone through okay. However, I've just been told by a friend that the retailer must have made a mistake as I've been vastly undercharged. I understand that if this happened at a checkout and the mistake was found then they could refuse to sell me the item. But what happens if I have already paid by Switch or Credit card? Do they have to sell to me at that price? I have a print out and description etc. of what I have bought so I have it in black and white. (Then again, this could be the correct price and I could just have got a great bargain, lol)
