You file texes seperate but you are married to one another and live in a cando you own and both work. Will you both get 2,500 for each kid? So a total of $10,000. Can you do that? Or do you only get $2,500 per kid only two kids max? Someone told me you only can claim two kid max on taxes even if you have 4 kids, is that true?

All we seem to get is rubbish items, they seem content to sell and con us into buying there consistantly poor quality goods because they are cheap
Want an example? Wind up torches that need no batteries(take one apart and find a couple of batteries inside ha ha)

Poison our children with there lead painted toys, because safe paint destroys the profits.

So a DvD player for £15 sounds like a good deal but at least you know it will probably outlast the warrenty(by about a month)
The Chinese deserve to have their economy collaps about them so they can go back to being a third world country
Just a shame that the general population have to suffer for the bosses greed.

I have short term cap gains and long term cap losses that roughly equal each other. I know that same-term realized sell activity can offset, but what about short vs. long?

Thanks for your help in advance.

My father recently passed away and has left me P&G stock valued near $750,000.00.

P&G has an internal corporate policy that will not permit me to roll this money into a tax-deferred IRA of any sort. Basically, it must be cashed and I'm going to lose WAY MORE than I want to lose!

I've talked to an investment company who only cares about investing whatever I get out of the liquidation of the stock.

I *WANT* to be able to keep as much of this money as possible and, ideally, draw a monthly interest payment from it so that my wife can retire now. I don't have any idea WHO to consult...or where to turn!

It seems to me that SOMEBODY should know how to keep as much money as possible away from the big, bad IRS and let it work for me. I want to tax-defer as much as possible.

HELP!!

Mark

My husband and I want to start a parent company that will have at least three subsidiary companies.

We want to register the parent company.

My question is do we need to register all the companies the same way.

If we have to register all the businesses the same way regardless of it being the parent company or a subsidiary, then how do you convey to the world the relationship between the Parent and subsidiaries.

And if we are only ready for one of subsidiary companies, can we just register that business and make the parent company later.

I go to my local coffee house. Some days I feel like cappuccino which is $3.25 for a double shot, and sometimes I feel like a large Italian soda which is $2.50.

This shop has a card, you collect 10 stamps, you get a free drink.

I tried to redeem my fully-stamped card for an Italian soda and the manager told me no. I said what's the problem...the sodas are cheaper than the coffee? She told me that the sodas are not eligible and I could either pay for the soda or order a coffee for free, any coffee on the menu, even the largest fanciest coffee at $4.50.

What could possibly be the reason for telling a repeat customer NO considering it is to the store's cost advantage, not to mention satisying the customer?

I am a senior member of staff and when the manager has left the office, I am in charge.

Everyone decided to take their lunch leaving the phones unmanned!

I then called everyone back in the office and called a meeting. I said that everyone is big enough to use their common sense to negotiate with team members when to go on their lunch and await other staff members to come back.

The youngest age of the staff here is 25 and the eldest is 27.. so they should have common sense!

I then said that I DO not want to hen peck them, they are not children...

one of them took offence to that!

This same person seems to think that she can call the shots and give orders etc

I have told them that I will 'switch' on them because I was quite lenient, but if I have to be the sort of person that people will dread at work, then so be it!

What do you think?

My Landlord has scheduled an inspection of the house by his property managment company. They gave the proper notice and are coming in tomorrow to look around. I was just wondering what they can and can't do. Can they go in my closets, drawers, under the bed. . .? I am already uncomfortable with someone poking around my home and I want to make sure I know what I can and can't ask them to not search.

My landlord stopped by yesterday to check the heating system in the apt. I was not there and did not know he was coming over. He went through the apt checking windows to make sure they were closed. He got to my bedroom door and realized I had put a brand new knob on it that came with a key, and it happened to be locked. He was surprised, seemed insulted, and said that he needed a copy of the key. I realize that it is his property, but as a tenant, don't I have the right to privacy? Shouldn't he have to check w me if he wants to stop by the apt, and also if he needs to go into my bedroom for some reason? I don't think I should have to give him a key. He is too comfprtable with stopping by whenever he feels like it. If he rings the doorbell and doesnt get an answer, he feels free to just come into the apt. I spoke w him about it b/c he walked in on me w company a couple of times. One time he came into my bedroom when I was sleeping. I didnt find out till later when he told me
