The company I work for is not reaching its financial goals for the year. Since our vacation and sick time hit a different line on our profit and loss statement, they are forcing us to take our vacation and sick time. Is is legal? It is in the state of Florida.

I keep reading and hearing about how the economy is going to collapse and the dollar will be worth nothing. I'm also told I should buy gold, silver, palladium, whatever... Why are these people so willing to sell me these preciouse metals in trade for my money when they say I should buy this stuff because my money isn't going to be worth anything? Wouldn't it make more sense to their best interest to have as much gold as possible instead of the dollar?

I have just been let go from a company after finishing my 3 month probation. The reason they gave me was that there was not enough work for me do and for overhead reasons would have to let me go. What upsets me is that they should have realised from the beginning that the role would not progress into anything else, and in that case I should of been hired as a temp instead of a full time employee.

5 other people started with me and they were all kept on. I was supposed to be told on the 6th of Nov (exactly 3 months on the job) weather I was successful or not, instead they told me 2 days later; therefore I was under the impression that I was safe. If they had told me on the probation deadline day then I would of at least begin to look for another role. So my question is can I challenge there decision because their reason is not a reason at all, but seems to be something personal. Or are they in their rights as they can get rid of someone after 3 months without haveing a good reason.

If you search through the internet for Internet Marketing, there are so many of them and each telling you how good their training is or how they manage to generate a lot of traffic and conversion to your product you want to sell. It seems like they copy each other and they trying to upsell their own products. Some even holding big Internet events to generate even more sales to their product or websites.

1) Is internet marketing so easy to make money or just plain over-hyped?

2) Some of of the internet guru charge you more than 5 figures for mentoring system. Can you could get the guides for free or lower cost from internet?

3) Where in Singapore, can we find a Internet Guru, I mean a sincere one and not those who charge you ridiculous fee and will keep asking you to buy their product or further courses or charge you something that you can probably get it free from the internet.
Anyone want to share their experience (good and bad) with any internet mentors?

hi im still little confussed on the ebay fees.

If i put a laptop on ebay and the starting fee costs me just over £2.00 and it sells for £500, does this mean as soon as the bidding ends ebay will take their percentage from me?

All payments will be made either via bankers draft, cheque or postal orders.

Is there any way ebay will charge me once i have received the payment as i dont want to pay a percentage for an itern that has sold but buyer is mucking about- or is this a win/loose thing?

My father has been hounding me and my husband (we are recently married) to buy a house in Las Vegas because prices are going down, however I don't believe that it is such a good idea. I am 25 (a student), the husband is 33 (owns a business in Canada-he's always traveling). We are debt free and have about 500K cash. Wouldn't investing our money be a better choice than buying a house at this point?

If you are someone who works in HR, for BCBS, or possibly someone who has done the same thing before, can you advise me on how my husband and I can plea for help in giving us Mon to complete our open enrollment for insurance. The crucial part of it is that we have about $1500K in upfront expenses for the birth of our first child plus we are buying a new home. The flex psending account would be very useful for us for the labor/delivery costs since we have so many big, big expenses inf ront of us. Do we have a chance? It was suppose to be finsiehd by 11/9, but we hope, hope, hope (after my husband makes a plea to HR on MOn) that they will give us Mon. Any thoughts?

Primary needs
1) Needs to be able to travel the world

Secondary
1) Intelligent (but not professor-type smart.... I already have three other scholars in the book so he cannot be the professor type)
2) Witty
3) Investigative (but not a journalist or detective)
4) Self-sufficiency, no managers breathing down his neck
5) Needs to have an assistant/sidekick though

Other
1) No spy/military career
2) Again, not professor stuff. Maybe zoologist or something but thats pushing it
3) No office-type stuff. This guy likes to be out exploring
4) Not a writer!

I have a chase mastercard and near my credit limit. I need to buy something by the end of today no later because its a promotion that will end. I paid my credit card $1600 on early november 11th. It is now the 12th but the payment still says pending online. Would it be okay if I spent that $1600 today? Because the payment will probably post before the items I buy will I still get charge overlimit fees? Will they even let me go over limit?

Okay, so I'm 16 right now and I plan to move out once I turn 18. We have picked out an apartment and plan to visit it soon and check the town out n stuff. I heard that if I bought a piece of jewelry (ring, pendant, etc.) for a certain amount, and then I had that piece of jewelry appraised and it turned out to be worth alot more than the price I paid, I would have to pay more taxes to the IRS/Government because of the jewelry's high value, regardless of the low price I paid...is this true?

Ok, so I'm looking for a job on craigslist (In southern california) and I keep seeing ..."attractive" and "please send a recent photo"....this cannot be legal right? What hapened to equal opportunity employment? And I'm not looking for modeling jobs either, this is for reception/office jobs.

BTW I do consider myslef to be attractive, but I think this is wong that they are hiring based on looks.
