I applied for a Barclaycard, as it had an offer of 5.9% for the life of balance transfers. Having spoken to customer services there, with the intention of transferring a balance from another card, they told me that the 5.9% offer meant that the interest would be charged on the full amount I transfer, until it is all paid off, even if I have paid some off. So if I transfer £1000, and pay off £100 after a month, I am being charged interest on £1000 still, rather than £900. Have I understood this correctly, and is this usual practice?
Thanks
John

Seems like it varies from station to station. One my wife goes to takes 50.00 out , plus the amount of gas you get. Then , usually in one to two days, the 50.00 is back in the account.
One station, that we won't use again, held 50.00 for seven days!
What gives?
With modern technology, they should get authorization imediatly. And not hold your money.

Theres a small strip of land in front of my business, its never been touched in at least 60yrs - its ugly & overgrown. The same man has owned it for years. I've heard he may have paid $1000 for something that now could be $50,000 - but he wont even sell for that! He can see how benificial the land could be for me - but meets with me a few times a year - to give firm me "NO" each time! It's country land not city - its surrounded by cows & barns pretty much. I know my question is dumb, but I was hoping 1 person might now a brilliant, unknown something that could help me some how ?!?!?

After all, if 2 people are involved in a lawsuit against each other, they wouldn't hire the same lawyer to represent them now, would they?

Many folks believe that dual agency helps neither the buyer nor the seller but instead simply assures agents of "double dipping" into that 6-7% commish.

The deviousness of ripping off is worse than ever. It is true the walks which I`ve been running since 1990 are NOT listed on the London Stock Exchange. But they are unique and thus the reason I expect for the emerging megacapitalist attitude. It`s a thinly-disguised attempt to rip off and do better (slicker, more professionally) what I`ve been doing on a low-key, improvisational basis.

It`s a bit the same as ripping off a busker; except that this lady (moi) is a best-selling biographer; megastar interviewer emeritus; vigorous travel writer; and latterly street market courier.

So why don`t the fascists simply give it up? This is mine. I`m not going to roll over and play dead simply because you want my money/copyright.

I stoped college after four years and a ton of debt, I wanted to find a job and work some of the debt down before i continue on.. and hopefully find a job that will help with the tuition fees. Any one think I can find a decent paying job with this amount of college and NO degree. i went to college for two years general ed, and could have an associates degree if applied for it, and i have one year tied up with business management and human services and another year in psychology. any ideas if you saw this on a resume would you hire me or should i start my own business and make ends meat that way ?

I am currently an accounting major and plan on getting my bachelors. If I get an entry level job right out of college making about 35k a year (avg is 35-45k) and I consider taxes it doesn't even seem like enough to live on. We discussed taxes in class today and the professor said we can expect at least 40% of our salary to go towards taxes...

35,000 x .40 = $14000

$14000/12=$1166.66

Tonight I have read some facts regarding Westcore Credit and their loan.I have been approved for a personal loan for $5000 and then they asked me to send them $500 as security deposit and unfortunately I did send money by wire transfer like 10 days ago.Since then ,I have not received my funds.I got very nervous and suspicious about it.I have called them many times and I have just been able to speak to Martin Sullivan.I could not even reach their customer service although I called them thousand times.I think , I am ripped off already and I am one of the victims in spite of the fact that they said they will transfer my funds into my account this Saturday. Now , I am just going to seek some legal advice...
