Myself and two other female business owners are starting a side business of organizing craft fairs, we will book the location and then collect from vendors per space. We are looking to set up a list of guidelines covering things like return of space rent if something comes up, etc. We have some ideas already of what we will be using but I thought it would be useful to see what others think. This is only for craft fairs, so please keep the policies aimed toward that type of situation. thanks!

HMV sent me an email containing special offers.
I picked "40 Years of Top Of The Pops", as it seemed very reasonably priced at £3.99.
Imagine my surprise at being charged £4.99, when I ordered right away.
I pointed out the error to HMV customer service but they refused to refund the overcharge, saying that the promotional copies had all been sold, even though there was nothing to indicate this to me.
I am astonished at a company of the size and stature of HMV refusing steadfastly to refund a miserable pound.
How did they ever succeed in business with this attitude?
Have you been caught in any HMV scams?
Beware if you haven't!

I am job searching for no other reason than I cannot stand my boss. He is rude, disgusting, and disrespectful and I have had it. I would like to know a good line to use when the interviewer asks why I am leaving my current position. It's not the money, the job, the advancement opportunities, the skills, nothing that would fall under the standard lines I've found so far.

I need something unique and believable that won't be probed further and won't even give a hint that I have to get away from him as soon as possible before it just spills out that I cannot stand him.

This is a professional white collar position in the field of higher education, where everybody knows everybody and you have to be extraordinarily careful.

As an internet service provider, we have modems that can be rented by customers, and these modems can be returned for credit when customers no longer use our service. So, where should this thing go in the income statement? Is it considered as an inventory? Is there a depreciation associated with it? Your help would be greatly appreciated!

I am currently working for the USPS and am married. Together me and my wife should make close to 23,000 for the year. I make 12.79 an hour and average 33 hours week. I claimed S1 and have a large chunk of my check taken out each week for taxes and what not. I also received student loans this year for college, and have attended college the full year. What I want to know is how much will I owe the federal government at the end of year.

Q2. Have proof of transfer of assets under a private agreement...inland revenue says this isn't legally binding as wasn't done through high court...is this true? They have sent this url which refers to 'bill of rights' ...our agreement is settlement of debt, not holding ownership unless debt is paid...are they right? http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/manuals/recmanual/rec2505.htm

My girlfriend and I have very low credit due to an issue that is being cleared up now. I should have better credit and cleared up debt in 6 months if things go well, but not great (not enough time). I am in an apartment and am never late with payments. What are my steps to go about getting in a $125-175,000 home. I was told to go find a mortgage company now, and they will help me plan what steps to take and how to clean things up? Is this true? I do not want to rent again but I am afraid that my credit will not be improved enough or my debts paid down enough to get me into a home. I would like to get an 80/20 loan, because I will not have built up enough assets to give a downpayment for my money now will go to cleaning up my credit. Any insight will be helpful. Thanks!

Right now the interest rates continue to be very low. THE GLOOM AND DOOM that the media has been talking about for 3 years has now come to pass. BUT FOR WHAT REASON? That Real Estate bubble that they predicted to BURST has now begun. But would it have if people didn't fear it coming. I had a banner year, and am fine with an adjustment in the market, but how many people believe the media played a huge part in this crisis?
