Need to refi our home. Here's the short of it. Home value ($700k), 1st mortgage 30yr fixed ($422k $3500/mo), HELOC 14yrARM ($198 $1450/mo), CC debt ($65k). No late payments of any kind. FICO 680. Down to one income ($70k). Hanging on by a thread to try and get a refi. We need to lower payments in order to pay off the consumer debt but can't refi because of that debt. We waited too long and used credit the last year to pay for stuff (I KNOW, BIG MISTAKE) Our broker(s) cannot find a loan that will refi to even be enough to pay off the debt. The most we would save a month is $300-1000. We need to lower the 1st mortgage to about $1500 to even make something work. From asking questions on yahoo, sounds like we are on our way to either going bankrupt or foreclose. Any thoughts on this. NO WISE REMARKS, I KNOW WE NEEDED FINANCIAL HELP LONG AGO. NOT LIKE WE ARE ANY DIFFERENT THAN OTHERS WITH THIS PROBLEM BUT WE ARE STILL MAKING PAYMENTS ON TIME...FOR NOW. The HELOC was a scam

According to CNN and other sources, Delta Air Lines and United are in talks regarding a possible merger. Here's the link to the CNN page:

I have some questions about this:
-It is proposed that the combined airline would fly under the name United. Which name would you rather it be?
-The two airlines have similar wide-body fleets. However, their narrow-body aircraft are essentially competitors, with United mainly using A320-family aircraft (and some classic B737s) and Delta using B737NG, B757, MD-88, and even some MD-90 aircraft. With nothing in common, which manufacturer would get the future contracts?
-Delta is a SkyTeam member, while United is a Star Alliance member. Which alliance would the combined airline be a member of?
-Which frequent flyer program would be used by the combined airline, Delta's SkyMiles or United's Mileage Plus? Or would an entirely new one be created?

So, I bought my first home in July of this year. It is a 1923 Cottage-Style 1 1/2 story, 930 square ft, with 2 bedrooms and one bath. It has great features like a 2 car garage, sauna, attic converted to a bedroom, and it's right near downtown in a great neighborhood.

I purchased it for $169,500 in Minneapolis Minnesota. This year I am renovating the bathroom to make it larger and adding a walk-out patio to both the front and back of the home. In addition, I will be re-painting all rooms and landscaping. I plan on spending about $10-15,000 on all these items (because my dad will help with most of the work).

From the above details, how much would my home appreciate...ballpark? Any thoughts on what I could sell it for in my market?

I have a difficult time finding one. I filled out a few applications on the web and the next thing I know, I received hundreds more from other third party search engine and not from the real lenders, and it just keeps going on and on. I now receive thousands of junk emails everday. How do you know who is the real lender and who's just some website trying to match you with other lenders? But most of the time they just match you to other lenders-matching sites.

My grandparents passed away about 7 years ago, my father passed last year. Only after my father passed with their house probated and my father received a 1/3 interest. I found my county appraisers office online and I can look at home values online. If it has an assesed land value, an assesed improvements value, and an appraisal is the appraisal the same number I would get if I paid for an appraisal? Hi there all,

I need to send some money to a local branch of Union Bank Of India in India. I wanted to know If anybody has had any experiences with their service as I understand it is relatively new, not even a year I think since the launch of the service. The only thing stopping me is that they use timesofindia as the agent and their own direct service remit2india,com has had so many bad reviews. In fact I was going to go through remit2india until a sales rep called and harassed me into sending £3000. Which of course I didn't. Which then led me to check up on them and find the bad reviews.

I will be most probably go with ICICI but UBI sounds ok, I'm just not comfortable with them using timesofindia to do the work.

Any experiences and/or suggestions.

I am going to begin working tormoww morning from4 to 8 am as a stocker. Anyone worked as a stocker from that time and on? What are the ups and downs? The people all seem very freindly so far. I chose that time or that post because I take care of my kids during the day and I have not enough money for day care so night or early morning would be best for me. If there were only a post that was at least 5 or 6 am till about 12 noon would have been great. I have worked as security from late nights to early morning and it was just too to boring, though I would read most the time.
