I heard there is a test? what does this job entail??

I believe you're refering to being a Lead Pharm Tech. Basically, you're the right hand person of the pharmacist. It's not tough though. Yes, you have to take a test for it. Check out PCTB.org

There is a test to become a certified test. The pharmacist might give you more responsibility like ordering drugs if you're a senior tech. If you can stay around for 1-2 years, it is easy to become a senior tech because of the amount of turnover.

A Sr. Tech is STILL a pharmacy tech.

They have no different duties or certification.
