I work for a third party distribution company in glasgow, we specialise in carrying out admin work for other lenders mostly sub-prime. I have been recently informed that a number of lenders/banks in the uk and including the glasgow area are making job cuts. Do you think this is likely to escalate bearing in mind the current credit crisis and interest rate rises?

I am in a dispute with my bank of a bounced check that I cashed. I decided to leave that bank and open a checking account with a new bank. My old account is in the negative 200 dollars and I am disputing this with all my force of life. If I refuse to pay, can they put this on my credit report? Thanks in advance to any shared knowledge. Thanks.

Some of the forms are: affiliated business arrangement disclosure statement, affilitiated business arrangement disclosure, interest rate and loan point agreement, uniform residential loan application, choice of settlement agent notice.

I didn't think I have to sign so much for a pre-approval letter.

Here is my situation. I joined company "A" in 2000 and I left the company "A" in Sep 2007. I had group insurance from company "A" until Sep 2007. I joined company "B" in Oct 2007 but the company "B" did not provide the health insurance and asking me to stay with Cal-Cobra. Still, I did not send my Cal-Cobra election form and debating myself whether to have it or not. I got offer from company "C" and I am willing to join company "C" in December 2007. Company "C" is a big company and the company "C" insurance will be starting as soon as I join the company "C". About my health condition, I don't have any precondition and even my family member don't have any precondition. My question is, do I need to take Cal-Cobra and pay 3400 USD for Oct 2007, Nov 2007 to keep my insurance up to date before joining company "C". Is it safe not to take the Cal-Cobra and have 2 months break in health insurance coverage?

Any one know how bad a short sale effects your personal credit? I talked with a gentleman who specializes in short sales and says it only effects your credit for about a year and up to 40 points. I have excellent credit, so that doesn't worry me too much. I'm more worried that he is just telling me this to get my business. Thanks!

Two years ago I purchased a house. Now I am refinancing the house after adding considerable square footage. In the process of refinancing it was discovered that one of the seller's signatures was not notarized. Now begins the process of having to get the original sellers back to re-sign. In the meanwhile, I am being penalized by additional costs of interest plus undue stress. Do I have any recourse against the title company that handle the closing 2 years ago?

I have a question on itemizing mortgage interest on form 1040.
I bought my first home last year, when I did my taxes they said I didn't have enough made in interest to itemize my interest. I think they told me I needed $10,700? In order to itemize it. My question is, this year I have enough to itemize my interest. How much do you get back approximitly? For someone who makes about 40k a year jointly with spouse? Will it be chump change or is it a nice chunk of change?
