I kind of seen it comming, i am a store mgr.

I have a very good friend that is at the corporate office that told me that they are going to close stores next year, then been done in a year after that. I have been with the company for 10 years and have lots Vac, sick and personal hours saved up like 6 months worth. Now if they fold am i screwed out of that, if we would quite or get fired they have to pay you for all of that time. Anyone been with a company as they close down? what happened?

So men make more money simply because there are more aggressive in negotiating salaries, while women are simply not making much effort for more money and will simply accept whatever comes their way? What do you think of this?

Ok, so we have had water leaks that the landlord failed to fix until weeks had passed and damage was done. Once taken care of (in feb 07) they never addressed the water damage, just the cause. Months passed by and we started having health problems, i brought these issues back up to the landlord and they pretty much mad fun of us. Well i paid to have a mold inspector come in and found out we have Stachybotrys (Black/Toxic mold and a lot as well as several others).

Well once they where presented with this info they basically said we where lying/wrong cause they have never had mold issues. Well i told him to look into what he's responsible for. He came back and after tellin us to move and good luck changed his tone once he talked to a property manager for advice and has offered to provide a hotel for us while they make the needed repairs. We will have the apartment reinspected after repairs to insure its livable, if safe move back in or move.

Do we have to pay rent during all this?

My boss sent me to a workshop. I submitted my mileage reimbursement for eight miles. She called me in to tell me she will reduce it to five miles because that's the same distance it takes for her. I told, "ok, actually I took the distance from my home" ( I happen to leave just five minutes from my office)
Anyways, I got offended about this because how can she think I am that cheap that would try to stiff the company for $1.25 - please!
So I came right back and said, remember that day you sent me to that 2.5 hour workshop all the way to downtown city? Well, I got lost, should I add the extra 10 miles it took me to figure my way back home? I mean if you going to be picky about it, I am just going to start checking my speedometer instead of just going by the internet maps.

If you were my boss, would you be offended?

we currently own a business in a shopping centre, our lease runs out in december and the landlord wont renew the lease as they have plans to turn the shop into a bank they have offered us a new lease at one of the other stores in the shopping centre and reluctently agreed and signed the new contract we are now wanting to break that lease and not move as the relocation cost will be far more then we anticipated and we simply cannot afford to move. would anyone have any information on wether we would be able to break this leese? if not what fees penalties would we expect to be looking at

How much can a family of 5 (two married parents and 3 children) gross and still get the earned imcome tax credit. Looking on the IRS website, it says the amount for have one child, then for having two kids (I think its $36000.00..gross). BUT I cant find what the cut off for a family with 3 kids would be. Does anyone know?? Thanks

Please I need help.

I was sleeping while the pest exterminator used the keys to come inside my apartment and when I woke up and he was inside my apartment and he said he needed to check for roaches, then everything went ok and he left.

Soon after he left, I checked for my wallet but some $25 Applebee's gift cards that were on the table were missing..and I reported it to the landlord and she said she was going to call the Orkin company and tell them about it. The pest exterminator was from Orkin's and I was suspicious because he asked me why I have so many gift cards and also asked if the food at Applebees is good.

Please I need to know what is the best thing to do in this case because I lost a lot of money on those gift cards.. and the thing that bothers me most is that he came inside the apartment while I was sleeping because he had the keys from the manager.

Hi, I sent a collectable guitar pick to the UK in a small Size 0 envelope ( i think it was 6X7) and I went to USPS.com and it said shipping price would be 1.80 so I put enough stamps and sent it on its way.-- Today though I tried to send another guitar pick to the UK and when I took it to the post office they told be I had to fill out a, PS Form 2976, customs form and I was wondering,will my First package i mailed be sent back to me since I didn't have a customs form?

I'm moving to a new area to attend college.
I don't have enough money to get an apartment at the moment.
So, I was wondering if it's a good deal to stay at a hotel where you can pay weekly. In terms of having money left over for food and other needs.

When you take into context; not having to pay bills, aside from a weekly or monthly rate.....
Even if you end up paying $1000/mo - is it cheaper to live in a hotel than a cheap apartment?

Would it seem worth it until I can get on my feet with a job and my college schedule?

I just received a lot of money and wanted to put it into a bank account because I want to save it for Christmas gifts. I am 14 and I want to know if I can get a bank account of my own?
Also can I get a card like ATM or something where I can just use that card to withdrawal the money from my account or do I have to go to the bank every time to take out money since I am young?

I'm 16, and I want to try to get a job at starbucks as a barista. I'd prefer to work on fridays, saturdays, and sundays but I can work every day except for thrusdays ( weekdays would have to be after school). There's a hiring event tomarrow for baristas and shift supervisors and I want to try then.
I have a couple of questions;
-The only experiance I have working is as a volunteer worker at a nature center.
-Is an application necessary?
-If so, who should I put under contacts?
I was thinking of putting some of my teachers
-What sort of attitude/responses/appearence will the interviewer be looking for?
-Any tips to not show that you're nervous?
-How much would I recieve per hour? ( I live in NY)
-As a student, how many hours max. would you recommend to do per week?

I am trying to but a car out of state and i found one in florida... The guy sent me a vin number and it checks out he said that if i sent money to the greater shipping economy he would ship the car to me. The Greater Shipping Economy is an escro service which has a ligit website but the phones dont work.... has anyone heard of or had problems with this site??? Thanks!
