Is it true men make more money than women?

So men make more money simply because there are more aggressive in negotiating salaries, while women are simply not making much effort for more money and will simply accept whatever comes their way? What do you think of this?

men make more than women. i feel it is due to discrimination. aggressive women don't get the same response/rewards in the workplace as aggressive men because cultural expectations do not support aggressive women. look deeper.
i know too many competent women that have asked for raises with no luck to believe they simply 'accept'

Sadly it's true. But that's a statistical average. A smart women can do just fine.
