600/month?

Average will be different through the country as prices vary. Also the way you eat, meaning the types of foods you eat can change the price. But me and my boyfriend living in CT 21 & 25 at the time would eat about $250 a month. We always have bought in bulk then just went out for things like milk, cheese, bread, stuff like that. Now that I have a 20 month old we still only averae about $300 a month. I think the added cost is her foods that I hate but I know for her development they are good for her.

If your tryin to figure out a cheaper way to grocery shop concider going to a wholesaler and spending alot at once then your good for a bit. There are times I can go 5 weeks without shoping. I love it. ANother thing I do is buy big packages of meat then I seperate them out into meal size before I freeze. This way I buy say one package of chicken for 10 bucks and get 3 meals.

hope i answered your question

My husband and I are 34, no kids. I spend roughly $60 twice a week - so about $120 a week, or $260/mo. I do not economize at all - I just buy what I want or need - so that number may be on the high side of average. But we don't eat a lot of junk like chips or sodas - this is mostly "real" food - stuff you'd have for bfast, lunch, or dinner.

Well, I would guess between $300 to $400 a month. This figure does not count meals eaten out at a fancy restaurant or fast food joint. The figure can vary a lot depending on what you like to eat, how much you weigh and if you use coupons when shopping for groceries.

My mom has two kids (w/ me) and every time she goes shopping for grocery's she buys alot because we are always out of food and she spends about $60-100. So for two young adults it should be about half of that. it also depends on the stores you shop at and how much you get ect...

Well in my case it's about $150-$200 (CAD) and that lasts 3 people for 2 weeks; so for 2 people I'd say $100-$150 (CAD) to last the both of you two weeks.

We're also an Italian family and certain unnamed parties of the household eat more than others.

When you say groceries do you just mean food products purchased. Because when I say I need to go grocery shopping it also includes items needed for the home like cleaning products.

If I were to average just the cost of food twice a week I'd say realistically $100. I would average another $100 in incidentals i.e. toilet paper/paper towel/cleaning products/feminine hygene products/personal hygene products etc.

I always shop in cheaper, no-frills markets that have good fresh veg. For 2 adults we spend about 40 Euros a week. I do buy my meat separately at a butcher shop and spend about another 40Euros every 2 months or so. I'm veggie so we save there; the meat is for one person.
