HMV sent me an email containing special offers.
I picked "40 Years of Top Of The Pops", as it seemed very reasonably priced at £3.99.
Imagine my surprise at being charged £4.99, when I ordered right away.
I pointed out the error to HMV customer service but they refused to refund the overcharge, saying that the promotional copies had all been sold, even though there was nothing to indicate this to me.
I am astonished at a company of the size and stature of HMV refusing steadfastly to refund a miserable pound.
How did they ever succeed in business with this attitude?
Have you been caught in any HMV scams?
Beware if you haven't!

if a company gives me bad service... i shop elsewhere..

i remember i-pod nano's being advertised on another site for 14.99 lol instead of 149.99

they will have a clause on the page, saying about errors and ommisions..

currently my bank is being uber lame, so i'm taking my money elsewhere.. they changed their tune when they relised i had another account with them with a lot more money in there..

oh well, my custom should be respected if i have £1 or a lot more with em.

you could report em to trading standards for misleading advertising if you want.... although it's always good to have proof of the screen .. screen shot etc or a print out.

I have a 'junk mail' filter that I use to screen out 100% of such 'adverts' ..

NEVER believe ANYTHING that comes to you via email ...ESPECIALLY if it invites you to spend money ..

You were lucky it was really HMV .. it could just as easily been a Scammer sending you to a fake copy of the HMV site who would have taken your details and emptied your bank account ...
