ok so here's the deal, I'm a complete nube when it comes to stock and trading so I'm kind of studying it a little before I try to invest.

So here are my questions:
1. Say i'm usin a service like scottrade, can i buy and sell stocks at any time i want, what i mean to say is.....suppose i bought stock 2day, and it raised a few points in the next few days can I sell it then?
2. Will i always have a buyer anytime I want to sell...even though i'll be selling it back at a higher price?

Just need help with those questions

I sold 2 things to a person and they paid using paypal. I cant receive my money until I send the tracking number. But the problem is, the person wanted International Express Mail. That cost around 30 bucks. She bought the 2 things separately so I would have to pay 60 bucks! I don't even have 60 bucks! Let alone 30! What the heck should I do!?

Rent, utilities, and car maint. is a debt within itself. I have a desire to own my restaurant within the next 8 years. How can I reach my goal? I am paying bills every month but I cannot save a dime. They listed on craigslist. a 2000 dollar laptop for $520, who can resist. Emails were sent claiming to now be in the UK and using TNT to send it, Fair enough, all the contact info is from twodaytnt.com
http://www.networksolutions.com/whois/results.jsp?domain=twodaytnt.com

Called TNT, this site does NOT belong to them in any way,.
The tracking number they gave me does not exist, AND they instructed me to wire transfer them money via western union on the premise they hold the item and the money and release the money after I receive my merchandise.
I have the emails from this fake website/company.
So who do I turn in to for international trade scam?

Just sent a cashier's check for an eBay item (small bucks, used kid clothing). Seller new to eBay, doesn't have a Paypal account set up. Seller says she has received the check and will ship when check clears. I'm thinking, Whaaaa? A cashier's check is like cash. Is she nuts, or am I?

I have a decent knowledge of tax issues but I am having trouble trying to figure one thing out. Someone wants to take a loss on a rental property that was also used for personal use. The property was used 20 days for personal and 150 days as rental. Normally this would mean that he is not allowed to take the loss since his personal use is above the threshold.

The only issue I have is that the property was not rented out by the taxpayer, but a property management company. The company only allows 25 days of personal use per year and is in control of the property the rest of the year. Since the tax payer cannot control the number of rental days, some could argue that he has really rented it to the company for the entire year less the 20 days. This would qualify him for the rental loss since he is below the 10% threshold.

Anyone know any authority for this? Tax court cases would be great.

I bought my home 1 1/2 yrs ago, with no money down. My interest rate is 5.454. Amount financed was $58,500 and the property is valued at 60,000. I didn't realize how much I had in bills and now find my bills are eating me alive. I have been to a debt counselor and am getting some help but with medical bills, I feel I am in a losing battle. I am considering refinanceing with money from my retirement.. about $5,000 as a down payment to lower my monthly payment. Or should I let it go back to the bank and get an apartment.

I have a full-time job that takes taxes out. I have done work for three other companies this year that were contractor positions. I made about $400 at each job. Do I add it all up, take $600 off, and pay taxes on the rest? Do I owe taxes on any of it, since each job was less than 600? Thanks.
