i like what your first responder said, but i would change it a little because 'control' might be the wrong word choice. i would say something like, 'i tend to be a perfectionist and this sometimes conflicts with other employees. i have to realize that not everyone is as detail-oriented as i am, and i sometimes forget that.'
my common answer for that question is, 'i sometimes take on too much. i need to realize that i cannot work twenty hours a day and that i must delegate more on a day to day basis.'
of course, if neither of these are true of you, you simply need to find that one thing about yourself that is good but could have a downside. potential choices:
i work too much at times
i sometimes am too much of a perfectionist
i have no tolerance for lazy individuals
i cannot stand wasted time/effort
i like to use 'sometimes' for many of these negatives because it shows that i can cope with it. i also like to emphasize the fact that when i deal with this i do not fly off the deep end. how you choose to deal with the negative is, often times, more important than the negative itself. when interviewing people i want to hear how often the negative occurs and then how the person deals or copes with it. interviewers know that the person across the table is a work in progress and having a decent negative shows that they are human and they are trying to be honest with the company from the beginning. just show that you recognize that it could be negative and that you have a method of controlling it.

What is your weakness in the work force?
I care a lot about what other people think. I have learned, however, that sometimes you have to make unpopular decisions and that's just part of taking responsibility.
What do you feel you need to improve on?
I feel good about my current communication skilss, but I'd like to keep improving them.
I went for an interview for a clerical supervisor position and I just had no clue what to say. what would you say?
Learn something about the company before you go. Check the local paper's website or Yahoo Finance, if it's a really big well known company.

I've learned that they don't want a quick response to those questions. They would rather know you took the time to think about the question rather than give them a programed answer.
1. My weakness - use something more positive than negative here - like, I can't seem to let the job go at 5 PM. Or, since it is for a Supervisor position, how about something more like, I need to learn to delegate.
2. Improve on - how about something like - I need to learn to be a little more efficient with my time. I strive to make the best use of my time and I always feel this is the area I can always improve.

My weakness in the work force is.....a slight negative that you're working to turn around. For instance, if you feel that you get carried away in the paperwork, say but you've developed a management system that works for you so that everything that was wrong is solved or in the process of being solved.
What you need to improve on is that which you fight against and should be answered in the same way as the previous question. I have this improvement that I am currently doing.

I'd put a positive spin on the truth.
Weakness
For example: If your always late say "I have a strong focus on punctuality, time is always of the essence" See how you said absolutely nothing, but you said something that sounds like I am always on time.
Improvement
For example: You're not a great communicator. " I am a very detail oriented person. This makes it hard for me to let projects go until I feel that I have supplied the employee with all the tools necessary to get it done"
That's an issue with communication that sounds great.
Hope this helps.

Weakness are the once in awhile events/issues that occur, and you have no experience or training. On the job training.
Improvement is only capitalizing on your knowledge and experience. practice makes perfect.

Say you tend to be a perfectionist and sometimes need to realize that you can't control everything that happens and need to work on that.
