I intended to find out how Iinsurance firms, banks, mortage institutions etc make huge profit from the money people in a community invest into their care.Take insurance company for example, it receives money from those who want to insure their property or life. In future time, they payback this money in accordance with the policy made between both parties. How were they able to make profit on this money and even paid salaries of fellow employees . I hope to get the best of the best advice.

Yep, first time I ever applied to a job, and I have got an interview now!

This is for a job at Subway.

What sort of questions can I expect? Also, I don't have a suit or anything but I'm thinking it won't be a formal interview... so I can dress casually.

Also- Do they tell you at the interview if you have the job? Or do you have to wait, if so for how long?

I have recently joined a companies finance dept and the the first task i goes like this:
The company gets telephone bills every monthand there will be caller ids for these. So it would be something like 6000 calls assigned for about 150 caller ids.
Whats my job is to process this data such that it shows no. of calls per each id, total amount for each and the total of the minutes spoken.
Do i need to know v - look up to do this?

Note: I do know that theres microsoft training program but donno who session to take exactly.
If someone can write the steps to do this breifly, it would be of great help.

Like I said my credit is not all that great. I do have a co signer. I want a home that is H.O.A free. I mean with no H.O.A. May be alittle extra money for fixin things that need fixin.

I have been trying to search for RETAIL jobs for months. I really, really need a job, all my friends seemed to easily get one but me. I need help rewriting my resume. All these places I've been using to help me with my resume say things like "Give examples of specific increases you brought about". The trouble with that is that although I've been in the hospitality industry for over eight years, neither of the two jobs I've held have had that particular potential - there is no quantifiable way for me to measure what kind of an impact I've had on the revenue or customer base. (I could make a number up, but that would be dishonest of me, and I am nothing if not honest to a fault.) I'm wanting to move up to a management position, and although I've never done it before, I feel as if I would be very capable. (People aren't born managers!) I've trained others before, I have excellent multi-tasking skills, and I have a personable demeanor that is approachable for both employees and customers. What would be an effective way to showcase my talents, other than using hyperbole and obvious buzzwords? Thanks!

Where am I supposed to get all this time from? I am raising a toddler and because I am home every day I feel as though I should be doing all the house duties as well and I get torn between cleaning, working or visiting friends who dont seem to understand that I need to actually DO my work to get money for it. I have a small business and it only makes as much as I have time for. How do you cope with working, family and friends, how do you divide and manage your time, I do not have day care or a consistant babysitter so basically during my daughters nap time I do packaging and at night or weekends I can do the actual work part. Please give me some good advice : ) Thanks

Hi i just turn 19 and i have been saving up for my first place for a wile now, any way i am now ready to move out and i been looking at a lot of places for rent and i see a lot of things i would like to change or update like the counter tops and the floors , what i would like to know is would that be a problem in a rented house or is that not allowed .

We can afford to not need Social Security during those 4 years. Since the longer you wait till you apply the more you get would this be a smart move? Or would having not worked during those 4 years have a negative effect on how much you would receive?

someone i know has been sacked from their job, after being there for just 3 months. he didnt have a signed contract. i know this guy and know that he blagged his way into job and then failed miserably to keep up to his expectations. he was slow and lazy and was found out bragging to another firm that he was the manager. he also has taken off numerous days sick and not phoning in to inform the manager.
the manager who is a very easy going guy had had enough and rung him to find out where he was and told him its not working out and he shud look for another job.
now manager is worried that the guy may kick up. its only a small firm and couldnt take a tribunal.
i got some advice for him and was told that as he had only been employed for 3 months he doesnt have full rights of someone employed a year. is that true anyone

Just now when i transfer cash into paypal it takes about 7-10days or what ever it is, but i know people that can put cash in straight away 2 buy items how can i go ahead and do that? i already have a verified PayPal account. Cheers
