Why is that? I don't know about the rest of the world but in Europe gasoline is getting more expensive in a faster rate then what you could blame on inflation ... or the decrease of fossil fuel.

Hello,
I was at an Agency today between 4:30pm and 5:00pm and wrote a check to the agency. I didnt actually give them the check till around 6pm. I know for sure the banks close where I live at 5pm or 6pm(depends on which bank.) My question is, do big businesses have a way of depositing/cashing checks before the banks open in the morning? Meaning do they wait to do that kind of thing like everyone else, or do they have a special way of depositing/cashing checks even though the banks are not open yet? I called my bank and had the check stopped. I hope this makes sense and someone can give me some feed back. Thank You!

For example.. I read that in the USA Great Depression, even barbershops suffered and went broke cause people used friends and family to cut their hair rather than spend money they didn't have or needed for the living essentials...

..but what kinds of businesses can survive and do relatively ok during a serious long-term economic downturn?

Also surprisingly I read some luxury goods companies still do well in a recession/depression... as the mega rich still want their fix of the good stuff.

Thanks.

We have a mortgage of 118k over 23.5 yrs and a loan amounting to 14k over 3.5 yrs left. My mortgage payment is 689 at a rat of 4.99 and the loan is 389 at a rate of 4.2. I saw a financial advisor last night who said that i may be better off putting the loan onto the mortgage and paying the current loan amount ie 389 as an overpayment. He said that would save me an awful lot of money BUT, my plan was to keep the loan seperate so that it is not still effectivly there in 23.5 yrs. Je said that i should overpay for the same duration that the laon would run for ie 3.5 yrs. Does anyone have a proffesional opinion on this. Is he right?

There are ex employees of the IRS stating that they quit and have not paid taxes since as there is no law that states we have to. Any tax lawyers out there that can verify that?

my husband and i are both busy with our lives and try to spend much time together when we have time on the weekends out of our house. the realtor has complained to the landlord about our house being clutter and that is only one room out of the 4. that room has boxes exploding with contents but there is plenty of room to walk thru that room and up to the upstairs 3rd floor. before a showing i will pick up, but things are not spotless. the realtor has accused me of being dirty which I am not , my dishes are washed, floors are vaccuumed and my place is way better than what was showed when I first saw the place of the previous tenants when we had to literally step on their stuff to get thru. I do have things piled on top of my dresser but that is clothes and I don' t think that matters. can a realtor really dictate how my place should look especially since this is an inconvience to me. I always have to be there since I have dogs at home and he doesn't always give 24 hrs notice
