I'm thinking that as soon as I divorce her, she has to take on 50% of all assets OR debts, right?

Man, I'm broke....

I think its a great way to half my bills, right?

And because we broke our lease early we had to pay two weeks rent as a penalty. The real estate was good and found new tenants within a couple of days. Now i have just been told by my employer that i am no longer required to work interstate and i will be staying at the branch i am currently working at. The problem is now we do not have to shift but we have already given notice to break our lease. Is it reasonable to tell the real estate agent that we want to stay or does the law require us to vacate

We signed a lease agreemtent to rent a home. There are 4 roomates. The realtor told me and the other female roommate to sign the other 3 roommates signatures since they werent able to be there in person. They never signed one thing. Some of the initials on the lease agreement are missing.

I only ask if it voids the contract because I am ill and need tomove back into my parents home for healthcare reasons. I can show proof from my doctor. Does this void the contract being that they didnt sign and the realtor told us to sign for them?

Say an eccentric uncle gave you a million dollars in Exxon-Mobil on the condition you keep the money invested. Would you sell off the Exxon and invest in a spectrum of investment products including mutual funds and safe but low yield bonds or would you keep the high paying apparently stable Exxon (rhymes with Enron!!)

It seems that at least as long as President Cheney is in office the Exxon is almost a sure deal. If you wanted to split the difference what percentage would you move to safer investments ? 25%, 50% 80%?

Just so you know the quetion is purely theoretical and I am asking for a friend with great expectations.

I was using 'YY' phone service and did call forwarding on my cell as my family was away & when they returned I disabled call forwarding but all calls continued to come on cell only. I waited for 3 weeks (called YY 10-15 times) to get this issue resolved before cancelling my contract with them & switched to a new one. Then I emailed their billing dept. & asked them not to charge my card for any payment from now on & mail/email me bill if any.

Now, they have charged my credit card for around $256.00 in two tranactions as Cancellation/commitment charges and equipment charges. They should not have charged me for cancellation/commitment as it was their fault & that only forced me to cancel my service. Secondly when I have said not to charge my credit card they should not have done that.

Do I have right to sue this company for charging my credit card when I asked them not to do so & that too for the cancellation that was because of their non-resolution of my issue.

It pays min wage plus .15 per mile. The company furnishes a gas card for gas. It will be about 4 hours per day and around 200 miles per day. Since the company is paying for the gas I assume that I am not entitled to deduct the entire 48 cents on my income tax return? What would I be able to deduct?

pay an outrageous heat bill again this winter. We have absolutley no insulation here, and I live in Connecticut, we have cold winters. Last year we paid almost 500 dollars a month to heat the apartment, and the heat was kept on low. The apartment is situated odd, and it has 5 rooms, so we had to use the other heater off and on, but used it at a minimum. Even when it was on we still froze.

I should have left last May when my lease was up, but apartments in my area are hard to come by, especially one that will allow a cat.

Can anyone suggest something? I'll be out of here next spring but in the mean time I was wondering if I can do something to make it warmer without destroying the property in any way?
