I was at an interview and I was asked something like this,
"Are you familiar with xxx?",
"Have you done xxx before?",
"If I need you to do xxx, can you do it?"

The problem is that "xxx" are those skills and knowledge NOT listed in my resume. I said I can learn on the job but apparently, that is not good enough. Eventually, they rejected me on the spot because I did not meet their expectations.

While I expect rejection to be part of the job hunting process, but in this case, I think it is uncalled for. I mean if they keep asking me for skills I do not currently possess, of course I cannot meet their expectations.

Am I giving the wrong answer by saying I will learn on the job? How can I improve my answer?

I allways hear people of my class,(blue collar worker) claiming they are republican because they want their tax cut.
Most of these guys not only get all of their tax back at the end of the year, and the ones with pups get a big chunk of "earned income credit".
What tax??
As a single guy,I do pay a little, but its not a deal breaker, because God Bless the union busting republican scum a few less peanuts doesnt matter.
What tax?
Are they counting the $300.00 or so they pay H&R Block because they want to get their refund in two days, and they are too stupid to figure out a form designed to be idiot proof?

"hell i dont want no guv'mint Inshorance! Jus cut mah tax an ill buy mah own! Yee-Haw!"

WHAT TAX?

Does anyone know if credit cards make security alarms go off? Because I just got a credit card today and I went in Target and the alarm went off when I walked in the store and then when I walked out. I didn't have anything else with me but the card... Has this happened to anyone else?

we've been renting in nice areas for years and for the amount we spend on rent we could actually buy a home in a not as nice area. so would it be a bad move to buy a home in an area that the home prices are low? should we just keep renting?

Would someone kind enough to tell me where one can get a report for the amount of Poll tax(rates) increases since 1990, by diffrent councils in England and Wales. I would also like to know how the banding system works and how it is decided that your house is in a specific band for rate purposes.

Recently I was disqualified for unemployment benefits in CA cause I plan to return to school. Ok fine by me I guess. Now I found out 2 weeks later that my school schedule would be at night time. I probably could look for a job now. Do I need to reapply again and change my eligibility? Or would it be a better idea to just say that I won't be going to school at all? Do they see that on my record that I got denied if I do reapply again with a different reason? I really want this course but cannot afford it without financial help. Any help would be greatly appreciated =)

I have a phone interview tomorow my present job pays me peanuts to be at home semi layed off. So if I get this new job should still let the old one pay me until they call me back then tell them I quiet. I know my present job is just leaving me a home hoping I quiet so they do not have to pay for unemployment.

I believe it used to be that when you sold a stock you have owned under one year it is taxed at your normal income tax rate. If it was held over a year it was taxed at 15%. I have recently been told that has changed.

I was told it is now 18% if sold before 365 days of owning it and 15% if sold over 365 days of owning it. Is this correct? If not what are the correct rates?

Thanx!!

Mr. DING approves Mr. XX to move in on a "verbal agreement" as a roommate.
XX is not listed on the lease thus only binding Mr. DING and the landlord. Landlord was made aware of Mr. XX before he moved in.
Mr. XX true colors start to show clearer among them cleanliness/periodically late with the rent/utilities e.t.c he has stopped paying for everything. Mr. XX own a bed & 21 inch TV everything else belong to Mr. DING.
Mr. DING has informed the landlord of the unwanted roommate a notice was sent to MR. XX via email by Mr. DING 0n September 11TH asking him to move out by Sept 30TH. Come October 1st, 2nd then 3rd Mr. XX defied the notice, when confronted he verbally promised to be out October 15TH. Mr. DING has a four & a half yrs old daughter she visits two overnights a week and could use the room.
QUESTION: In the State of Massachusetts can Mr. DING change locks come October 15TH and if NO, what are Mr. DING’S options?

For the state of California. About how much money will I have to pay back in taxes and how much will I have to pay in late fees?
