Does anyone know if credit cards make security alarms go off? Because I just got a credit card today and I went in Target and the alarm went off when I walked in the store and then when I walked out. I didn't have anything else with me but the card... Has this happened to anyone else?

Yes, certain types of cards have things that trigger shop alarms.

Also some company badges used as electronic keys are known to do this.

HOWEVER - some people bought a bag, or something, with such an alarm, which was disabled upon purchase.
But, after some time, these alarms can become active again.
So, before you destroy the card- check other items as well.
