Recently I was disqualified for unemployment benefits in CA cause I plan to return to school. Ok fine by me I guess. Now I found out 2 weeks later that my school schedule would be at night time. I probably could look for a job now. Do I need to reapply again and change my eligibility? Or would it be a better idea to just say that I won't be going to school at all? Do they see that on my record that I got denied if I do reapply again with a different reason? I really want this course but cannot afford it without financial help. Any help would be greatly appreciated =)

I probably would turn down any job offers depending if they would handsomely pay me =) But school IS my first priority right now and just wondering if maybe I could receive unemployment benefits while in school at the same time.

Speak with a claims rep and explain the situation, maybe your file can be updated over the phone, OR
Normally you have a specified amount of time to appeal, check your documentation, and appeal if you can. If the appeal time has passed, I would still appeal and state my reason why i'm late with my appeal (Just found out school will be at night)... and see what happens.

Btw, once your ss# is given they see ALL info in your file.

At one time, being a student did not bar you from collecting unemployment.
There was simply too much abuse, a case of a few making it bad for all.
No question a few more courses may make you more attractive to a potential employer, but the rule is, as a student, you are not making yourself available for work.
What happens if you are offered a second shift job. You'd probably turn it down. because it interfered with school. Yes or no?

i don't know, Mozz. I stay with my babies, in spite of the shown fact that that's driving me loopy. i'm fortunate that my husband makes sufficient money that i don't could convey mutually reward. truthfully, i will't locate the funds for to artwork. Daycare might value extra advantageous than this instructor can disguise. i know that the unmarried mom element sucks. i'm not a real unmarried mom, yet I play one while my husband deploys. when you consider which you insisted that we take a place, I say that welfare is extra ideal. babies are in basic terms abode from college for 5 years, then you definately can bypass make the funds returned. that's what welfare is for. It enables you while you're in want, then you definately bypass returned to artwork and pay it returned. EDIT: right here comes the "SAHMs sit down on their butts and don't something" crowd! absolutely everyone who says that has under no circumstances stayed at abode with babies. i've got carried out the two. i became a working mom and now i'm a SAHM. they're the two complicated.

If you turn down job offers - that will also disqualify you from benefits
