just shove tissues up your nose, breath in white pepper and then phone work and tell them you're not well. my mate tried the white pepper thing at the doctors and got a sick note off them for 10 days off work. (He said he had been like this for over a week)

go to the doctor say there is a lot of stuff going on in your life, you are in an awful job (state reasons) you want to seek new employment but dont have time, you feel stressed and need a note to get some time off of work. It worked for me.

Use holiday entitlement , or try to fit the interviews in lunch hour or after work There are only so many doctors appointments you can use as an excuse.

i agree with david d just quit lol no..... only quit if you hqve the job promised,
tell your boss that you have to take a last minute trip and that its requires your assistant and that you are sorry and that you would really apreciated if he gave you the whole week off and that u will make it up to them.
my advised would be to tell them your taking a road trip not a fligh and they have to work with you its not like they goin to fire trust they cant...

Ask if you can have a week off unpaid for personal reasons if you have no holiday entitlement left

mmm would not say you are sick just incase someone sees you!!
you could be totally honest with your firm and tell them you need time off for interviews!!
you never know they may offer you a big pay rise!!

Throw a sickie.
Phone in and say you don't feel well, just stick to that.
When you've had your week off. Go in to work and say you were taken to hospital.
there's millions of things you can say.

Say you have Bronchitis.........really bad chest infection. You can self certificate for 7 days anyway so any excuse will do.
