Hi, I was wondering, is it common that the SSN of whoever responsible for the payment (usually parents) is required in preshool's registration form?

As far as I know, we obliged to provide our SSN for tax-related purposes or health insurance related, but not for preschool.

They said it's needed for processing.

I mean, when they give the annual statement for tax filling (for tax deduction) purposes, they don't need to put our SSN on it. They don't even need to run credit check.

It's just confusing. I really appreciate any inputs.

Thanks.

Why do people claiming the above think that the state owes them a living ? Others have to work to support themselves AND the people claiming welfare, so why is this allowed?
Also, how much do you get roughly, per week if you claim ?

hey guys , i have an interview tommorow for a position as an "Embedded Software Engineer". I am a little bit nervous . What kind of questions do you think they can ask me relating to the position ? I have some projects in my resume . Is the interviewer going to ask me any questions relating to that ? I don't have any experience and the job is for someone with experience . I got the interview because i was persistent. Now i have to show the employer i have the nature to hard work and learn quickly . How can i over the fact that " i have no experience in the field " . I have other experiences like

Call center ( e-zpass new york ) and
Cust service ( Comp usa )

i didn't work for long in these places 6 months each . i got fired from e-z pass due to poor absenses ( i was going through a ToUgH time , if u can understand ) .
I want the job really bad because , I can't stay home any longer due to family problems. What do you think i should know before hand facing the employer ?

I live in PA but work in DE. What state do i pay taxes in? i hired an accountant last yr and he had me pay PA state tax, and get a refund from DE, but DE told me months later the return was filed wrong and instead of a $500+ refund from DE i owed roughly $26. I just want to be prepared next yr.

Why would someone choose UPS/FedEx 1-2 day delivery instead of USPS Express? I was getting a quote for a package (a digital camera), and USPS Express is much cheaper.

Thanks.

I had my credit card stolen a few months back, and now some company calls me, up to 5 times a day, wanting to update my credit information. They were given my information, but I did not order from them, it was whoever stole my credit card. I explain this and I will either be given another number to call, and they will say it is taken care of when it's not, or hang up on me. What should I do to make them stop calling and get rid of my information?

I am considering buying a membership to a warehouse store. If you are a warehouse shopper, do you find that it saves you money buying in bulk, or do you wind up throwing food out because you cannot consume it quickly enough? My fiance and I are a childless couple with a dog and spend about $230 a month on all Walmart items which includes the occasional belt/ socks, etc. Do you think we could do better at a bulk buy store?

For example, an ad in a magazine said something like "Make up to $465 per day mailing postcards."

I would guess it really pays something like 1 cent per mailing, and you would have to send a few thousand a day to make anything worthwhile.

I just graduated in December 2006 from the University of Kentucky. My degree is in Psychology, but I have a passion for financial analysis and business developement. I was involved with a wonderful small business throughout college in which I was able to manage all of the financial/customer/business data and use it to help grow the company (a lot.)

However, now that I am out of college and want to move into a sustainable career (i.e. support my family with pay and benefits,) I am finding it difficult to pursue my passion. My wife and I want to move to the Central Florida area (where we were engaged, honeymooned, etc.) I have applied for dozens of analyst jobs down there, but, as of yet, no bite. How does one "break into" this field?
