No. As long as you are in good health there is no change in diet that will make you get pregnant. You might want to speak to a fertility counselor if it seems to be taking longer than you hoped (just to make sure there are no health issues holding it back.)

You might also want to take a sex education course or speak to your doctor so that you don't waste your time or money on wacky ideas from ill-informed friends.

We are rocking the same boat and NO there is not a specific diet that helps you get pregnant. Try taking a ovulation home test or see a fertility specialist. You may not be the problem. You partner may have a low sperm count. It changes daily for men but if you are indeed trying to get pregnant and it isn't working for you, both of you will need to be further examined by a fertility specialist. You may also have to undergo an HSG examination. Been there, done that.

There is no specific diet that will help you get pregnant. It is still a good idea to follow a balanced diet and take a multivitamin which includes folic acid, because that will reduce the chances of birth defects like spina bifida (a spine deformity) for when you finally do conceive. The spine is one of the first things to form, so it important to have enough folic acid (green-leafy veggies) even before your pregnancy in confirmed.

I wouldn't be concerned about not conceiving until you have been trying for over a year.

I never heard that food have something to do with being pregnant. Actually if you want to get pregnant, you need to know your menstrual cycle. The regular is 28 days, to know your fertility period, you have to count 10 days counting 1 on the day you menstruate. On the 11th day you are fertile up to the 18th day. Contact with your husband during this fertility days gives you a higher percentage of getting pregnant. I hope I wont get into trouble with yahoo answer for giving you this information

good luck

Opps! You listed this under careers :) Are you going to be a professional baby maker?

As long as you are in good health you can conceive. Try talking to your doctor if you are having a tough time getting pregnant. I was in the same boat and it was from me miscalculating my ovulation schedule.

An at home ovulation kit will do wonders, trust me!

Good luck!

I am not sure that your friend is right. If you are having a difficult time getting pregnant, the best thing to do is to visit your doc. He will do test to make sure that everything is fine with you and your ovaries:-). He can also help you determine your most fertile days and you and your partner can plan around that.
Talk to your doctor and go luck

No, there's no 'magic food' that will halp you conceive, if you're in good health, and you're getting enough nutrition, you're fine. I was only 95lbs. and eatign junk food until I got pregnant, and I conceived! So needless to say, it doesn't matter what you eat!
