What do you know about retainers paid to supermarkets ?

Nothing - why should anyone pay a Supermarket a 'retainer' ??

I can see why Supermarkets might pay Suppliers a retainer .. that's to stop the Supplier dealing with the competition ... or to keep stock in a Warehouse for instant delivery etc.
