I bought a home last year, and when I filed my taxes they told me I could not itemize my interest, not sure why, maybe its because I bought my home in april. But anyway is there a certain amount of interest that needs to be paid in order to itemize it? Also can you itemize the interest on a car. And also for charity cost, e.g. church offerings? Let me know

I was working for a great company .. making the most money I have ever made before. At the age of 20 I was pretty successfull...... getting greedy I decided to buy a 2006 ford escape for 25,000.00 I ended up losing my job and I was out of work for 1 1/2 months. I just now got back to working and I am trying to pay for it. My car payment is 500.00 a month.. I looked into selling it but I dont think anyone would have that amount in cash nor check to purchase it. I tried taking it to a car delaers to see what they could do for me.. and they basically said i am "upside down" and theres nothing they can do. Does any one have any suggestions about what I can do?

I was wondering if you can defer payments on a mortgage for a year or so in exchange for adding the interest on to the principle or some other method that the bank would be willing to accept. I really would like to take a sabatical from work for a year to travel and do charitable work but I dont want to sell my house. I have great credit and I always pay the mortgage on time. Thanks for any responses.

My husband and I will be relocating. This time we would like to purchase a home. When we got married my credit was better than my husband's. Now we found out my husband's credit is better than mine. For which I am glad. The scenario is because his credit is better than mine, the mortgage company will not be able to put my name on the mortgage loan. Of course I am disappointed. I paid off alot of my debts I still have a car payment, and 2 credit cards to payoff. Should I worry about not being on the mortgage loan? My husband can put me out of the house at any time. I don't want a sceen like on "Diary of a Mad Blk Woman". (When the husband dragged his wife out of the house. Her name was on nothing.)What can be done or should I just relax and enjoy? or am I making a big deal for no reason? or am I jealous?

I am not on the lease, but I paid half the rent for over 4 months, and the landlord knows it because we set up our rent due date around my payday. Now my old room mate is telling me that she will call the police if I attempt to come get my belongings. Is that such a bad thing? What are the cops going to do that would be negative to me? I don't think the roommate will lie and say that they are not my belongings. I seriously don't even know why she is acting like this. Based on the fact that she keeps asking me to be her roommate in the next place she is moving to and I keep declining, I am guessing her feelings are hurt. The reason I am moving out is due to the type of people that she has as guests, and the high rate of traffic she continues to have. Despite my numerous request to stop all such activities based on the fact that I have a child now and that is no environment to raise a child.

What happens in a case where you take a job that says you are paid $27,000 annually, but you have just discovered that on all your pay stubs it has $26,000 annually.

Do they owe you money?

I put myself in this situation, and I know it, I need some advice to get out.
I had a good car for an amazing price... too good to be true. Everything went wrong at once. I needed another car and fast. I traded in my car and ended upside down on a loan. about $15,000 for a 2005 Nissan Sentra. Which I hate. I made the decision too fast and purchased it. My payments are about $300. I had insurance but it's cancelled now, it's been cancelled since about May.

the credit union added collateral ins. I am not sure what my payment is yet, but I am sure it has at least doubled. I am already half a month behind on my payment. I plan on getting ins on the 15th (that's when I get paid) but I know my payment has gone up. I just don't know if I can afford all this. Should I insure the car, trade it in for something I can afford? I am so scared...

I only have about $600 to work with every pay day.

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. *thanks*

Hi! I have a sudden windfall of about $8000. I want to use the money to pay off some debt, but am confused in which order. Here is the laundry list:

1) CC #1: $5000; 3.99% interest (it's low b/c I transferred)
2) CC #2: $2000; 15% interest
3) Student Loan: $10,000: 10% interest (variable)

I was thinking of paying off my two cc's in total, and using the remaining $1000 towards the student loan. I know the conventional advice would be to pay off the highest interest loan first (student loan), but I am hesitant b/c a) paying off my ccs in full will boost up my credit score more; b) the psychological bonus of paying two items in total; c) I couldn't pay off the student loan in total anyway w/$8000.

Advice is appreciated!

On 10/5/2007, I had $126.19 on my National City Bank checking account. Past several days I used my National City Bank Card to purchase things and I spent things like $1.05 for drink.. about 10 items with $2.00 or less. I also spent things to purchase that cost me about $20.00 or more for each.

I login my online banking everyday and this morning when I got on, it showed 9 items for overdraft fees for $34.00 each so
total overdraft fees showed as $306.00.

If bank posted things that I purchase in order I purchased
I would only need to pay 1 item for $34.00 but the bank posted
everything from highest amount resulting 9 items of overdraft fees.

I visited my branch office but office manger there is very unfriendly and keep saying that I spent money when I didn't have enough in my account. But that is so wrong because
if they deducted everything from things that I spent first then
I would be overdrawn by that much.

Is there any other way I can get my money back?
