Demat Account Axis Bank

Hi,

Since you already have an account with Axis Bank, the process should be fairly simple. Since you are an existing customer you will not have to go through the KYC (Know Your Customer) process - which is mandatory since the past few years.

Now the process for a trading account is to have a trading account (which holds the money which you use for trading), a demat account (which holds the shares/securities you have in a dematerialized form) and your usual bank account (which you use to move money to purchase shares or move in your profit in order to spend it).

Costs of a demat account are very negligible (in the 500 range if I remember correctly). But costs vary from provider to provider and most of them make their money from commissions.

YES you can open a demat account irrespective of where you stay at present. You need a photograph, residential proof ( u have it ) and PAN card ( u have it, too). Only difference is your account information and transactions will be always mailed to you on your Neyveli address as it is your official address. Meet or call a person from AXIS Bank and they will be too happy to meet you and do all the documentation and procedure for you. They need business.

The salary account of yours can be used for opening demat
or else you can open separate account or joint account with you spouse (if any).
you have to pay a minimum amount of from rs. 250 to rs. 500 to the bank for continuing the procedure for opening the account.

you must have an "PAN card" for opening a demat account

Please go to axis bank with your pan card and one copy of it and residence proof ( driving licence, passport, electricity bill or telephone bill ) and get the Dmat account opened. No charges for opening the account, but u have to sign a stamp aper worth rs 100 for which u will pay. Apart from this u have to pay annual maintenence charges every year. this charges varies from bank to bank.
ps also take one recent photo ( passport size) with u.
