My thinking is that with 7 mill after taxes and buying a big house and some investments you will still have alot of money but not to much were family members and friends will bug you to death. with 20 you will have much more money and feel guilty not giving money to family. what do you think?

My husband and I just discovered the Advance EIC.

We do qualify, and realize that it is about $1712 paid out over the year you apply.

My question is this.

Being we filed so late in the year, will we get what we *could* have been getting over this year in a lump sum and then the rest will divided up as normal...OR...will they just start paying us as if we started in January of this year and we lose out on getting the whole $1712?

Thanks!

I was offered a position after a phone interview and a follow up second interview with two corporate managers. I disclosed a misdemeanor charge that may show up on a background check. I was subsequently offered an upper management position and I gave my two weeks notice. Now on the eve of my first day I receive a phone call from HR saying the job is not mine. Some questions about my background check. I disclosed the misdemeanor and was assured by the corporate manager that if the misdemeanor matches the background check. "no problem". Now I sit, unemployed waiting for them. I gave details of the offense and was reassured that they did not have a problem. What can I do legally? This is important to all those out there pondering whether to disclose a transgression. The background check confirmed what I had disclosed and now the reneged on their offer.

I work for a telemarketing company as a telemarketer/office secretary. I was told by my boss last week that he no longer needed my services. Basically I was fired. I wanted to know if I can receive unemployment benefits even though I'm signed on in the company with a W9 instead of a W2.

Hi dear friends, I and my wife are foreign nationals in the U.S., my wife is an international student and I am unemployed, as we want to renew our car insurance, we find it very difficult to pay for the cost of renewal and the insurer does not give us any discount and this is while we have purchased insurance from them for the previous year and have had no accident or claim. We are not happy with this situation. Could you please help us by giving us any advice or information that might be useful to our situation? Are there any arrangement/arrangements for international students that will somehow help them afford paying car insurance rates or is there any insurance company that would be willing to assist people and students in similar situations like us? Thank you very much for your help and answers, Sincerely, Passenger

I bought a home in 2005, and just sold it two years later. We made a lot of improvements on the home, to which I kept all the reciepts. Can I use them this year when I file my income tax return, as a deduction? I have been told I can, but I dont really understand how. Also moved and dont have a new accountant to ask yet. Any help would be appriciated. Thanks!

I work with a woman that owned her own business for 35 years (I hear this everyday). She is always trying to control and supervise her coworkers (me included). I actually have senoriity and I am relied on for more responsibilities. This woman is a tyrant. She calls her coworkers white-trash and idiots when she is with me. I have to listen her tell me that "No one around here knows sh*t." I have asked her to try and work with everyone. I have told her this is not like owning your own business, your working for someone else now. She is determined to get fired everyone she cant stand. She keeps a note book and if she thinks anyone is doing something wrong she sits in the office and documents everything. She is extremely controlling. She has the bosses backed off because she keeps threatening "Union". I don't know how I can keep from smacking her eventually.

Any advice?

I need my 2006 W-2 Form for student loan purposes, however I've seem to misplaced it. I remember putting it somewhere safe, in case I needed it, but of course I can't remember where it was that I put it that was so safe. So my question is this; is there a place online, a website, where you can view such things?

There are 3 sales girls available. All 3 are well dressed. You don't have any other details to go on (such as how long they have been employeed there, ect) One sales girl is in her early 20's, one is in her early 30's and the other is in her early 40's. Would it even make a difference to you? Why?

My wife and I have 2 small kids, a comfortable savings and significant equity in our house which is our only debt (5.5% fixed over 30 years) We are each contributing the max in our employer 401k's and after all the bills are paid we have about $600 left over each month.

We are considering taking a $65k home equity loan at 7% for 15 yrs. and investing the cash in a mutual fund portfolio targeting a 10-12% return. We will use the $600 per month mentioned above to service the debt. With a 15 yr. time horizon we think the market should allow the expected return. I have limited financial knowledge but this seems to make sense. Am I missing something?

I have no experience in Healthcare Admin, but I really want to get into this field. Any recommendations? I do have a BA Degree in Economics and Finance. I am half way through an MBA degree. All of my work experience was in the mortgage industry. I'm hoping for an entry level job making at least 40K. Is this feasible?

I would prefer to have a place where I can do a trial period.

I ALREADY tried PRIVACY 1-2-3 and FREECREDITREPORT.COM. I can NOT get another free trial though them, but there has to be another place to watch your credit report.
