hi there boys and girls, I am doing some research into Australian companies where Executive or Personal Assistants travel with their bosses. I look after 3 Executives and have been travelling overseas with them, but we are curious as to how many companies do so. We are an Australian company so have little support/admin overseas...

Do you know anyone who travels with their bosses and in what circumstances?

Thanks,

M

I applied for a position about 4 months ago with this really great company. It came down to me and 3 other candidates. In the end, I didn't get the job. I felt that I was genuinely qualified for the position, but maybe my personality kept me from getting the job. (I often get quiet and nervous during interviews) Recently, a similar position with the same company has opened up. I contacted the ladies who interviewed me and have an interview set up. But now I am having doubts. I have been on several interviews over the past few months without a successful outcome. Whereas I feel I'm much calmer and confident during interviews, I'm not sure what my chances are considering that I haven't had any additional work experience since I last interviewed with this company 4 months ago. How can I convince them that I am the right person for the job this time around?

I had a very interesting job with decent income 2 months ago with a lot of free time in hands and good time with colleges. But I wasn't sure if I would have a brilliant career by doing that for long. Then I found this current job will perhaps do me good with my future career, but my income is shrunk and my life is less fun, less free time and more serious, also lost a lot of chance hanging out with my friends. Should I give up this job and go back to my previous work?

i have never been out of work and to try and get a better job(driving) seems a near impossibility you would think age and experience would count for a lot but not around CAMBRIDGE is there anything i can do i know there is a law against ageism but you have to prove it and if a company see,s your age whats to stop then putting you on the to old pile,it seems they would rather pay some 16-18 year old less money and not worrie that they have friday or monday off because they had to much to drink?

Especially in college. I don't know were it seems to be going. It is like I have the same amount coming in as going out. I really need a new car and I have 3 grand saved, but that is no were near enough money. What should I do? try getting a new job? work a second job? They only let me work about 25-30 hrs a week at my current job. I just really need a good steady income somehow.

We have been successful in challanging the NHS that they inappropriatly charged my grandmother for nursing care. We have been told we can claim £18,000 if we can prove she paid. The last cheque written from it was 8 years ago. We have contacted Barclays with her address and sort code but they cant track it. We have asked the nursing home but they do not have the records. Please can someone offer me a solution.

He makes more money than i do will it benefit him to claim the house i purchased in our both names. this is my 1st home so i know nothing about paying taxes on a home? FYI i still make payments on the house.

Someone left a handwritten note in my mail box. It hand my name on it and a phone numbers. Its was very sloppy writing, I have a few mechanic friends so I thought it was one of them. When I called it, it was a collections agency. My wife was a afraid it was someone trying to serve me. Would these people resort to this?

I don't have a hearing aid, but I find it difficult to hear my post office customers through the glass - and it's even worse if there is other noise, such as my colleague talking to a customer or the printing machines going.
We have a portable hearing loop but as I don't have a hearing aid, that can't help me. Any advice? Thank you!

I've recently set up a company selling items on the internet (relatively low value). I'm not sure how to set my postage and packaging policy and am thinking of adding the cost of P&P to the price of the item as personally I don't like getting 'stung' with a one-off payment when you get to checkout, particularly when I have only bought an inexpensive item. What are your thoughts? Would it put people off, would prospective purchases just see this price and think I wasn't as competitive as others on the net? Am I better doing what everyone else does and add a cost of maybe £4.50 P&P regardless. I would prefer to have an honest policy as 'the price you see is the final price you pay' ........Thoughts please.
