The bank does not want to release my car unless I can have a co-signer for the loan. Is there a law that I can quote that states that I do not have to provide a co-signer for the auto loan?

I've been getting phone calls from a company, who is using my name and phone number, but wrong maiden name, SS#, address. They're officially harrassing me, threatening me, cursing and yelling...I refused to confirm #'s on the phone (suspected phishing scam) called the police. The cops talked to them, and then suggested to me just hanging up when they call, or not answering at all.

I'm waiting for another phone call, yuck. Should I ignore it, I've tried to explain they have the wrong Melissa, but the 'investigator' just said he was going to "haul my *** in front of the judge himself" for lying about it. CNR Associates, nice huh? Online some suggest doing a 'cease' letter, but I'm fearful to send a certified letter, then they'd have my address as well!

What really drives me insane is that my husband and I have worked our butts off to pay off our debt, and now owe NOTHING to anyone. So to go thru all that and now be harrassed for someone else's debt is just too much.
Thanks for help!

I am about 11 classes away from my History Degree. I never put much thought into what I would do with it. I figured if all else failed, I'd teach. However, recently I have been thinking about applying for Law School. This is still way, way in the future, but I like to plan ahead. If I do, I will be attending somewhere in Texas, since I am already a Texas resident. So if you have any experience in Law at all, could you please relate that to me. Have any of you who read this question attended a Law School in Texas; if so which one? What did you do with your Law Degree once you graduated? What are the options besides being a trial lawyer? How much do you get paid (sorry, I like money...but that isn't my main reason for applying for Law School). How did you pay for Law School. What were classes like? Did you have any free time? If you are a mother, is it hard to be a Lawyer and a mom at the same time? How has having your Law

Can 2 people live off of $12,000 a year taking the following expenses into account:

Rent: $365-450/month
Utilities: $85-125/month
Gas & Car Ins: $230/month
Food/groceries: $200/month
Health Insurance: $150/month
Other Expenses: ????/month

The people are my dad and his dead beat brother. They are both 40 something and don't care about living conditions. Can this work? They only make $500/month each after taxes. Any suggestions on how they could make this work out or get more money?

My husband in the AF (tech school right now) but I am not living with him, We are really behind in debt and I wanted him to look into talking to someone on base about possible bankruptcy or just financial counseling since it would be cheaper than hiring someone here. Someone on base told him not to talk to anyone because if anyone knew he had financial hardships, he would be discharged, but I have no clue if this information is correct. I would think it would be better to get it out in the open since they would find out if we declared bankruptcy but I don't want to get him into trouble just for asking random possible questions. Also it might show that we are trying to deal with it instead of ignoring it. It would also be easier for him to talk to someone there since people here might not know how to deal with the military and bankruptcy at the same time.

Hi!
My hubby has a mental disability and is drawing social security. I am his legal guardian as our state court declared him unable to care for himself. He recently got a telemarketing call from Citi Cards and he gave out his information for a card unknown to me. He does not understand finances. He got the card and used up a thousand dollars and I did not know it until collections called. They said they are taking him to court if he doesn't pay it now. Now, my hubby and I live on about six hundred dollars a month so we cannot pay it all at once. I tried to explain but they won't take payments. Can they do this? What should I do?

I graduated from college and have applied for hundreds of jobs. I got my degree in film and started with entertainment industry jobs, after a while i opened to anything. Right now it seems really impossible for me to get anything. I've had about 10 interviews at different places but i'm never there choice, i've been really close a few times but never in. I'm willing to relocate ANYWHERE and work anything as long as i can get full time. But nobody wants to give me a chance. I know i am a good worker and i take my jobs very seriously but i feel like nobody will even give me a chance.
I've tried online things, mailing, going in, and even a temp agency but nobody, nobody will do anything.

What can i do? I'm so lost, i dont even know where else to try.

I won LV purse on ebay and I paid via paypal. Once I got the item, It was totally fake and was not as posted on the list. I try to contact Paypal and Ebay to solve this problem. Even try to find seller's contact information. I talked to seller but he confirmed that what he sent it to me is actual item from the pictures. Then I told him "I'll bring the purse to LV store to get certificate letter that say it is fake or it is not authentic" He said "How do you prove what I bring to store is the same purse he sent. you might have something fake and take adventage blaim on him" (how ediot person can think of that?)
What make me happy is I just want my money back and I'll return this JUNK back to him. I really don't want to look at it because I hate whatever fake. I talk to Ebay, Ebay said "You better contact Paypal. Once contact Paypal said "You brought it over Ebay why don't you call Ebay?" Dang it!!! Please help.
