How do you find that sort of work. What category would it be listed under in sites like mycareer, seek e.t.c?

One can either go to a couple local supermarkets and apply for a job as a stockperson or look in the local sunday classified section under 'stockperson' or perhaps 'retail'. As the other person mentioned, jobs for stocking shelves are most likely available at any supermarket. It's supposed to be quite a physical job requiring a lot of walking, crouching, reaching, bending and one really needs to follow the advice of using proper body mechanics (lifting an object while bending the knees as opposed to bending down at the waist) which is probably one of the reasons that there seem to be continual openings.

Go to the your local supermarket department store chains. Go to the personell office (or it is likely to be on their website as well) and ask for an application form (or just ask, how to apply)

Many of the chains then bring people in groups for testing and select people that did well on the test.

Walk into a supermarket and ask for an application. The ones in Phoenix always have 'help wanted' signs out.

It wouldn't be listed. You go to the store and ask for an application and fill it out, then you go back and ask to talk to a manager once or twice a week until they get sick of seeing you and hire you.
