In mid-August, I accepted a sales position at a popular boot company opening up a store at a new local mall, which doesn't open until October 11. With that in cosideration, I accepted my current job as a front desk clerk at a hotel to have some money coming in. My current job pays 75 cents less than the position I accepted for the outlet mall, which is an obvious disadavantage. However, the advantage there is that since the hotel environment is so 'lax, I get to sneak in some study time for school since I'm a full time student. The advantage and disadvantage of the mall job are the exact opposite--more money, but more responsibility, and more than likely, no time to study. In conclusion, I was very excited about the mall job when I was offered the position, but I'm overridden with guilt for having to leave the hotel (in the event that it does happen) in such a short time working there and because my manager is very, very satisfied with my performance.

I moved in to my aparment in July, upon moving in the landlord knew that the former occupants trashed the place and there was a massive amount of cockroaches. When we inspected the apartment, we were told that the cabnents would get fixed, the carpet would be replaced, and they would finish cleaning, repair the air conditioner, and toliet We had no ideas about the roaches.

Well the day we moved in, I opened the cabinet and four roaches crawlled out, and fell to the counter,. then upon walking around i counted about 13 more roaches. I called the aparment complex and they sent out another person to spray the aparment, even though they just did it 5 days ago. Then I found out that she was hoping that the roaches were dead, and that there was tons in there the day before.

It is now september, and we just had our apartment sprayed for the 4th time, the carpet, cabinets, are still not fixed, there is a soft spot now on the floor due to the toliet being broken. is this enough?

Is it taxed as a 1099 dividend only or are there more taxes. I am figuring 30% for taxes, am I wrong? I live in Washington if that changes tax details at all.

I used to fight MMA and just bought a couple hundred shares when it hit a buck. I realized that everyone that bought in >$10 was crazy but it seems like the company could do well - if they remain solvent.

I am not basing my retirement on this one but I am just curious what other independent people think of this one now its a .5/share stock.

Bank of America has a overdraft policy where they deduct funds out of your account by the size of the charge and not the order they actually came in. So, let's say you make 3 purchases in one day using your debit card(but you charge it as credit) for the amounts of 10$, $4 and $3. Let's also say you have only $7 in your account. So instead of doing what makes sense, taking out the $4 & $3 before the $10 (which would generate only one overdraft fee); they instead take out the $10 first (which ends up generating 2 overdraft fees).
I contacted a Bank of America representative about this to ask for a refund (which of course was denied) then I told him I was going to make a complaint to the BBB, to only be told filing a complaint with them would be pointless. Well, I did, and I ended up getting my overdraft fees refunded. Bank of America sent back a fancy response to me about overdrafts, but not once in that letter did they answer my questions about overdrafts. Should they be sued?

I became a member of the FFA! That's what! So now they want me to sell these donation raffle tickets for 5 dollars, how can I do that?
It came with a script for me to read, and I am NOT using that!
What should I say/do to get people to buy them?
(After they buy them they can take them to a dodge dealer for a t-shirt!)

I want to start selling items on Ebay (sports tickets) and I was wondering if paypal is the only option for payments? Is it 100 % secure? I know thousands, probably millions, use paypal and never have problems but I'm a little skeptical with the wiring of money through credit cards. Also, how does the shipping work with Ebay? Is the seller responsible for paying for shipping? Is it easier to sell tickets on broker sites or Ebay?

Also, does Ebay get a percent commission on items sold, and if so, how much?

Thanks everyone!

I graduated from a state school in Economics with a gpa of 3.1 Since then, I've been doing jobs that have NOTHING to do with law. The only reason I want to try law because during my college year I took a year of business law classes and did incredibly well. I remember my professor asking me why I don't give law a try and back then I wasn't interested, but now I do have a change of heart. I don't have ANY law firm working experience, and my gpa isn't very high...can I still get into a decent tier 2 law school if I did so-so on the LSATs? If the chances are slim now with my credentials, there is no point in investing time to study for them. What do you think? Please help because this would be a life decision for me.

My roommates moved into a house in June, the landlord said they were adding another room and to search for a new roommate. Thats where I came in. All along the management company/landlord promised me that the room was permitted and legal. I moved in to the house in August.

In the last few week the city building inspector came by and said I have to be out by October 7. I signed the lease until May.

Should the management company compensate me? How much compensation should I demand? I was thinking something like 3 months worth of rent, for August, September and for October since I have to find a new place with very little time.

Before I consider legal action, I'd like to make a demand for compensation first.

An Associate Or Bachelor's degree is too expensive at this stage of life. My greatest strengths are creativity, resourcefulness, and empathy. I need a guaranteed, part-time income ASAP. As far as selling goes, I'm more persuasive creating written materials than I am in person. I tend to be friendly but reserved. Any advice is appreciated.

We file a return.
We pay tax fees in 4 sets in a year for the tax we have filed.
We get tax return.
This return is always less than the sum of tax fees we pay in the year.

I dont understand why should we file a tax when we get lesser return.

Can someone explain me the need of each step as you would do to a common man?
