I own a small townhouse in NYS and pay about $10,000 a year for Village Tax, Town Tax, and School Tax.

Can I claim this expense as an expense and deduct this amount from taxable income at the end of the year? So that I can get higher return?

I need help coming up with a company name. I work with baby onesies (snaps in the crotch for easy diaper change) and put a skirt on it. I also take baby shirts and put a skirt on them. Any suggestions for a name, I would greatly appreciate.

I am a 33, single, never been married, and he is 40, divorced, has 4 kids and his ex-wife is deceased. We both work full time and make a decent living and have our own checking, savings and 401k's. He owns a home and a few rental properties in NC. I rent an apt in NC and I own a rental property in NJ. When we get married, how much should I contribute to the household account for the mortgage, utilities, and general savings for the household needs. Any advice would be appreciated!

When you are in commute, and there's traffic congestion on the way or something, and that's making you late.... Do you ALWAYS call your boss to inform him/her? Or can you kind of hope that the boss won't see you coming in late?

We are due to close on our house next Tuesday. Our interest rate is 6.75% on an FHA. This past Tuesday, the interest rate was lowered by .5% by the Federal Reserve to help with the economy, etc. Do you think our mortgage company will lower our rate now that this has occurred? I hope they do because we haven't signed anything just yet besides some pre-approval paperwork and I would think we could get a better deal now...there or elsewhere. Thanks in advance.

Hello,

My partners and I believe we have a very good Social Networking idea - however, we do not have the money to create a good site on the net. Does anyone have any good ideas of how best to "get investors"? We are not in the business field - any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!
Brad

I am currently a graduate student and am applying for internships at consulting firms for the next summer (graduating in 2009). However, one of the career counselors suggest I also consider VC firms that specialize in biotech/technology ventures. What kind of work would a PhD scientist do at a VC firm? How would I fit in? Thanks!

I am going to make around 70,000 this year and might have around 6,000-7,000 in business expenses. I really don't have any receipts, but I used the same credit card for all my purchases and it shows on my credit card statements. Is this proof enough in case the governments asks for proof?
