ain. I had 5 years of exp as a project manager with a MNC involved in outsourcing in South Asia. It wasn't IT related. I am now planning on starting my career in the states banking on my previous exp. I would like to know the industries that i could apply for and the different job roles that fit my skill set. Appreciate your responses.

I work part time in an office. My boss keeps adding the amount of work he expects me to get done, but he won’t increase my hours. We keep having the same argument…he says “Why isn’t this done?” to which I reply, “Because I didn’t have enough time to get it done”. He doesn’t seem to understand that I don’t sit around eating Bon Bons at my desk; I am working as hard as I can and still spinning my wheels. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

I've been seeing a lot of those work from home ads, some are about filling out surveys and others are actual job titles that say they are willing to train online. Does anyone have any first hand experience with these types of jobs and is it really worth it?

I had to return my hair straightener so I had UPS go and ship it back to the company. And I have no clue when I'm going to get my new hair straightener. The company said that it would take 5-6 days. But I shipped it to them 2 weeks ago, and I still haven't received anything back yet. Am I supposed to go to the UPS store and pick it up? Or call and ask if they have my package?

I checked online and it says that the company received my hair straightener but it doesn't say anything about them sending mine back.
Here's what it says:

My mother died, and I have bills out the WAZOO coming to her house. I was told to write a letter to the collectors and mail it with a copy of her death certificate. Is there anything in particular I should include? My co workers told me not to say too much. I looked online and they are charging $8.00 for a sample letter! Please help.

My husband and I are struggling with our bills, I hate my job - it is starting to come home at night with me. I cannot afford to quit. My husband & I thought we should move out of state closer to his family (not mine) were the cost of living is much cheaper. We have no savings & we are behind on our house payments by 2 months. He feels we should just spend our paychecks this week get a truck & move. I feel like that will solve nothing - just moving the problems. I think we should stick with it and try to get what little profit we will make from the sale then move. Is there a point to moving if the goal is starting over and we have nothing to start over with??

It's a long story, but my last business venture did not pan out. I got a job doing paperwork at flu clinics during school hours, but I just got my schedule, and I would only have 4 days to work over the next two months. I am deeply disappointed.

I need to work during school hours to be a good mom. (Or at least the kind of mom I want to be.) And I'm not going to sell "stuff". I am a very well-rounded and talented person. But having to work during school hours makes it difficult to find a job.

We were told that we have 30 days to clear out our laundry room & garage for his "personal" use. He does not live at the same place as us. We have lived there for about 4 years now, & the old landlord sold the place to the new guy & he wants the space. We will have NO storage what so-ever for our 3 bedroom house, there is no atic or basement, & now we will have no where to wash our clothes (or put the washer & dryer we paid for).

Can he do that? & if so should we not have to pay as much for Rent???

proceedings? I was involved in an accident (rear ended) on an expressway and off work for 9 days. I've had four doctor visits so far and have one next week. If there is a formula or formulas, what is the norm? I had two people tell me two different things. One said two times your lost wages + two times doctor bills + vehicle repair costs. The other said three times wages plus two times doctors bills plus vehicle repair costs. I'm interested in settling fairly without obtaining legal counsel but that is not out of the question if I feel I'm being unfairly compensated.

my sister lives in south dakota and recently was to sell a house she owns. Her and her hubby signed papers for the house to sell at 80,000, and the first day it was sold, to an employee of the agency selling the house no less.
Well i believe as well as others the the house value far exceeds 80,000 and she got scammed by the realtor, this happened monday and tuesday they signed the papers to agree to the 80,000 offer, which my sister claims they had to accept being that 80 was the limit.
Is there any way outta this? for instance a 30 day period or something ? i don't want my sister to get rippd, but i'm fearing she made a mistake

I am a 21 year old female who recently graduated college with a degree in teaching. There are not many teaching jobs in Pittsburgh, and I am thinking of pursuing a goal I have had for a while. I want to own my own business....although I'm not 100% sure what exactly I want it to be.

Some people may think this is a bad idea because I am only 21, but I have a good amount of money saved up now, awesome credit....so I can fund the costs, I have a drive and excellent work ethic, and also I have a family who will back me 150% and help me get everything settled.

What do you think about this idea?

I was thinking of opening a local soup/salad/sandwich shop that you can go to to get fresh made sandwiches. In addition to eating in, I would also like to deliver to businesses with multiple employees. Everything would be included....drink...soup....salad...sandwich....everything you need for a perfect lunch at a reasonable price.....any thoughts? any suggestions?

I went for 5 interviews meeting VP's, EVP's, Presidents, HR & the hiring manager and was offered the job, on paper. One issue which had been discussed with an EVP & HR was rather than a discretionary bonus, as national sales director a bonus based on asset growth is more aligned with their objectives & my preference. It was received positively & with enthusiasm. It seems they have changed their mind as far as I can tell as no one is phoning me back. Over the last 10 days I've contacted HR & the hiring manager with polite follow up messages - no replies. My references are pristine and include a bank president. They had a third party agency call to check - odd judgement call - but worse, my references felt they were uninformed & unengaged. The bank president gave a glowing recommend nevertheless. Clearly another candidate has appeared, cheaper & possibly better - I wish the best to the company & hope they get both...but this seems rude to me, is this standard hiring practice?
