We were told that we have 30 days to clear out our laundry room & garage for his "personal" use. He does not live at the same place as us. We have lived there for about 4 years now, & the old landlord sold the place to the new guy & he wants the space. We will have NO storage what so-ever for our 3 bedroom house, there is no atic or basement, & now we will have no where to wash our clothes (or put the washer & dryer we paid for).
Can he do that? & if so should we not have to pay as much for Rent???

You might want to contact a real estate attorney, rather than take advice from people on the internet. Every state has different laws so you need advice from someone who knows your state.
In general, if you don't have a lease, you're a renter-at-will...yours or his. He can change the terms of your agreement, and your only options are take it or leave it. You can also leave with 30 days notice. So there are pluses and minus both ways. In real estate, you want things in writing.

Since there is not lease agrreement then yes, he can take your garage and laundry room. In fact he can kick you out if he pleases. I would suggest sitting down with the new owner, and discussing a lease. Explain to him that you have no storage or no place to put in a washer and dryer. If he is willing he should work with you and come up with an agrreement that both of you can agree on.
Legally you don't have many options since you don't have a lease on the property.

your uncle should have helped you out by giving you a long term lease before he sold
your problem now is that you are on a month to month lease which means with month notice either side can terminate the lease, or make changes
now depending on what state the proper way to change the terms would be to send you a month notice to terminate old lease and at same time offer new lease new terms
but in reality you will within sixty days probably loose the right to use that space

No lease means you are a month to month tenant. He gave you a 30 day notice, that's all he has to do. He can raise your rent or ask you to vacate as long as he gives you a 30 day notice.
Is this space that he is taking over attached to the house? Inside door access? I'd be packing and looking for a new place.

I was about to say "check the lease" then saw your last line.
You have no grounds to do anything at all. Without a lease, he could demand you get out immediately, as in the next 20 minutes, and there's not a thing you could do about it. There's also nothing that prevents him from raising the rent or doing any of a number of other things (like come in while you're not there and snoop around).
Hint: get a lease or get out.

if you have no lease and he gave you 30 days to clear it out etc, he well within his rights to do. u are foolish for living there without a lease to protect yourself as a renter. he gave give u 30days notice and raise the rent 2% if he deems so, bc u have no lease. renegotiate and try to see if u can sign a lease including the rooms that u desperately want.

definite, in case you're renting a room interior his abode. that's partaining to the washing time. that's something out of appreciate to his kin and because you reside in his abode, i've got self belief that he has a marvelous to assert the main up-tp-date you are able to take a tub. as far as banning you from doing laundry. except the laundry situation is on your lease or, that's his washer/dryer he can not say something. whether that's his washer/dryer which you somewhat choose to apply, you will have his permission to take action. If no longer, take your outfits to get laundered at a laundry mat. because of the fact the owner of the abode he can do despite he needs. Did you sign a lease, or exchange into this a guy or woman to guy or woman settlement. in case you replied an upload and not using a lease, then ,yeah ,in case you go with to stay there you gotta play via the guidelines. in case you signed a lease, did the lease secure this "sanctions." in case you do no longer like it, pass out and hit upon a place the place you are able to bathe/wash your outfits once you go with to.

Sorry...nothing you can do about it. I think you should look for a new place to live...with a lease or rental agreement. In this day you could probably get a nice home with Option to buy or rent to own or land contract.
