It's a long story, but my last business venture did not pan out. I got a job doing paperwork at flu clinics during school hours, but I just got my schedule, and I would only have 4 days to work over the next two months. I am deeply disappointed.

I need to work during school hours to be a good mom. (Or at least the kind of mom I want to be.) And I'm not going to sell "stuff". I am a very well-rounded and talented person. But having to work during school hours makes it difficult to find a job.

Okay might I one up some choices. The Tropico research orchard is in Texas, sort of PiiPs. The new fruit
production has to have packaging. You could go right to
work on your own product service to organize a factory.
This is environmental responsive and conservative. Like
gingerbread and coolwhip. Get the grant!! Use your
skills on computer working with tropico, minutemaid, or
your own favorite. http://www.tropico.com

Would you ever consider a call center? Insurance companies down here hire all the time for call center jobs. You just take incoming calls from patients or other providers (doctors) and help them with their insurance benefits, etc. Depending on the company starting pay is around 24-30k, and they give you benefits. These are also typical 7-4 or 8-5 jobs..and is the type of job where you can get out on time every day.

I suggest looking on monster.com or careerbuilder.com, because there you can look for jobs that are right near your zip code!!!

What skills/background do you possess? Depending upon those, you might be able to find something through an agency like Robert Half, Remedy, AppleOne, etc.

What is the farthest you would be willing to commute?

Definitely follow the advice of the person who suggested monster and careerbuilder; both are reasonably good sites.
