There are no work at home online jobs. They are all scams. Either they want money up front or they are collecting personal info. The handful of legit call center jobs have long waiting lists and if you do get to the top of the list, you won't get enough assignments to make any money.
Instead start your own business. Look to what you know -- babysit, cater, sew, music lessons, wood working ....

I have found that it takes a lot of hard work and using a combination of methods in order to make just a small income. I have a blog and earn income from writing articles and adverts on there, I also do surveys and some pay to click sites. I also enter competitions online and have won a few.

There are many jobs like that which can be great. The problem is that any of them which are nationally advertised probably are not. Be sure and search online for both the pro and con information about them.
The best bet is to find out how to find that kindof job. one which fits you, then search for it. Waiting for it to come to you is not a good idea.

I've looked into those and while you can make some (very little) money doing surveys, most of these work-at-home ads seem to be scams. You make money supposedly by posting similar ads to the one you responded to.

Yes it's more than possible. I've been doing it for free for many years. There are lots of scams out there, but there are also tons of reputable jobs and other various sites that are perfectly legit.

Most of them are scams, and you'll work a lot of hours to even recoup the signup fee, if you ever do.
