Yes - the insurance company pays regardless of who is at fault when the coverage is in place. Insurance companies do not make money on auto policies - it is a well known loss leader. Farmers has an 800 number for claims where you can call to check the status anytime. According to the commercials it is HelpPoint you call to "get you back to where you belong." Farmers is known for excellent auto claims service and has many long time loyal customers.

Absolutely Not!

Farmers Insurance received the worst ratings from JD Powers 2006 Collision Repair Satisfaction Study, It got their worst rating for "Overall Experience", "Claim Settlement ", "Claim Representative ” and "Claim Process and Procedures". Overall Experience is how customers rate the overall collision repair experience. Claim Settlement is how customers rate the fairness of the claim settlement issued by the insurer handling the claim. Claim Representative is how customers rate the insurer representative/agent handling the claim. Claim Process & Procedures is how customers rate the insurance company based on the claims process.

All insurance companies are in business to make money for the stockholders. They do not work for you. Most major insurance companies will get your car fixed and then raise your rates, not renew you, or just drop you. Depends.

If there is coverage. Just because they have the insurance on the car that hit you, doesn't mean that it applies to the driver.
