2 months notice? I;d give 2 months notice only uinder very unusual circumsyances, like, i was returning to collegeand the term starts in 2 months, orwas joining the army and would not leave for 2 months, or 9 was moving out of state.
The usual requirement is 2 weeks.

YES. Employers are not obligated to pay a person who no longer works for them. You can file for unemployment, though.

yes .. usually matters on the job.. but i know a lot of places that will let you go after you finish that day or that week.

Yes, they can fire you at any time. If this happens though make sure they know you will then be collecting unemployment which will cost them money.
