i asked a similiar question once but didnt really get any answers on how much is insulting. I picked that amount because we can easily afford that but 215,000 is pretty much the most we can safely afford. i know 2 things ..the owners are anxious AND they were so anxious they almost just wanted to rent it out so they could move already, the other thing is it does have MINOR work to be done. I know im lacking info but basically i just need to know if im going to waste my time even offering that low?

Our family is relocating. I made the trip up early Saturday to get the lease signed and my husband was coming later. First, they said we had to have account numbers for our electric and gas. We had the accounts set up but the companies didn't provide numbers. They wouldn't give us keys even though I had other proof we had the accounts set up. Anyway, fine, we did our best to rectify the situation on the phone with the companies, but no luck. We made a deal and they were going to let us in. Then at 4:30 in the afternoon, they said I couldn't sign the lease without my husband when during the week they said it was OK if he wasn't there to sign when I was, he had til 5 to get there that day or we were out of luck. We found another apartment. Now they won't give us any info in our file they have on us, not even copies of our paystubs. We DID NOT SIGN THE LEASE!!!!! Some jerk said our wages would be garnished. How can that be if we didn't sign?

Should I try to buy it for 48,000 dollars? Its a sellers market. There will be a tenant already living there renting part the other side of the house. Should 48,000 be fair? The only other issue is I still must see the condition of the house?
What is a good and fair price?
The area its in has hardly any jobs though, not that its a problem.

key points of the plan:

--has an "individual mandate," requiring everyone to have health insurance

--builds on the existing employer-based system of coverage
offers a tax subsidy to small businesses to help them afford the cost of providing coverage to their workers

--individuals and families who are not covered by employers or whose employer-based coverage is inadequate, offer expanded versions of two existing government programs: Medicare, and the health insurance plan currently offered to federal employees. Consumers could choose between either government-run program, but no new federal bureaucracy would be created.

So what do you guys think? please state the reason for your belief.

Thx!

I'm in desperate need of help. My issue is that it doesn't seem like my credit card debt is going anywhere. I can't afford to pay much more than I am each month and it's always more than the minimum. I have applied for the consolidation loans and they all tell me that they can't approve it because I have too much debt. And that if I get my debt down then they could give me the loan. This sounds ridiculous to me because if I could get my debt down I wouldn't need the loan. The credit cards that I apply for to do a balance transfer never give me a high enough limit to transfer all of the debt. It's about 12,000 between 3 credit cards. Does anyone understand what I'm going through and can anyone give me real advice on how to fix the problem? Note: I do expect those worthless people to give me advice like stop spending or something just as useless. I kindly ask you not to waste my time or yours. Thank you to everyone else who really can give some advice that actually help my situtation.:)

15 minutes till Sunday appointment and the Leasing Agent calls me and tells me that without a "Pre-Qualifying Letter" from a Lender, it would be
quote: "Unethical for me to show you properties outside of mine."
I set up the appointment to see one of his listings on Sunday, to follow up with seeing 3 other properties that were not his.
I set up these appointments late Friday afternoon and had set up with his mortgage broker the information to generate the letter. Since the Listing Agent assumed we were a slam-dunk approval & we weren't, he was upset. I never heard from him on Friday nor all day Saturday, and in fact he waited until 15 minutes before our appointment to tell me of his not showing us the other 3 properties.
#1- I consider it unethical for him to wait until 15 minutes before our appointment to tell me of the "no shows"; he was aware my hubby is disabled and should know it takes lots of effort to get dressed & ready...(the house is handicapped)

My old employer had paid approximately $10,000 tuition assistance for me. I received a job offer from my new employer and accepted before working out my work commitment. The new employer agreed to pay off the amount I owed the old employer for not working out the agreement. Now, the new employer is telling me that is a taxable benefit to me since they are paying off a loan. I argue that it is still tuition reimbursement and at a maximum only the amount paid above $5,250 in one year should be taxable. They say the original reason I received the money is irrelevant and they must treat it the same as paying off a loan. I honestly don't think any of it should be taxable since it is tuition related and the courses were over a two year period. Do any of you have any advice in this area?

My CEO and his wife are here, apparently got here by using their RV. Well, the CEO flew out this morning to another facility, and the wife is here using our computers. She would like to use one of OUR vehicles for running some errands (grocery store, Petsmart, etc).

My HR manager and I are both balking at the request, because the airport isn't that far and feel she should rent a vehicle. But since she is the CEO's wife (and also works for the company), what should I do?
What would you do?

Hello everyone I'm facing a cash vs debt dilema. I would like to purchase a car worth $100,000. My father is willing to give me $50,000 upfront to buy the car leaving me to take a loan for the remaining $50,000. I personally think $50,000 of my own money (or rather dad's) is too much to put out and think this doesn't make much financial sense. I'm currently weighing the option of taking a full loan for $100,000 over a 6yr term and keeping the $50,000 from my dad and investing it. Here are my 2 Options, which one is the better option:

OPTION 1: LOAN FULL AMOUNT ($100,000)

1) $100,000 Loan -12% APY Monthly Payment= $1995.02

-Total Interest over 6yrs= $40,761

- Total Repayment=$100,000 + $40, 761 Interest = $140, 761

However If I keep the $50,000 and invest it in a MMA at 5.5% (compounded monthly)I earn a total of $69,495.99 which can be used to offset the amount of the loan. Thereofre at the end of 6yrs:

It acts as a third party between seller and buyer to insure that both parties comply to transaction requirements and provides dispute resolution and mediation between parties. Yahoo! Finance is responsible to insure that both parties comply to transaction requirements"

thanks!
