Hi I have recently rented a property and did not get the 'full' tennancy agreement until I picked up the keys.

In the agreement it states that under no circumstances can anyone apart from myself live there without the express permission of the landlord.

Now I have just moved in here but I want my other half to move in within the next few months, If I make sudden changes and the landlord is quite funny I don't want to risk my tenancy, however from a legal standpoint can they do this?

Thanks

I am studying for my exam in Advanced Bookkeeping and accountancy and still cannot get my head around this sharing of the profits. For example:

Mary Jackson was asked to join the existing partnership of Peter Smith and Pat Jones. Goodwill was valued at 21000 at the date Mary Joined. In the original partnership of Peter Smith and Pat Joines Profits were shared in the ratio 3:4 respectively. After Mary Jackson joined partnership the profit is to be shared 3:3:2 between Peter Smith:Pat Jones:Mary Jackson.

The answers are
Goodwill DR 21000
Capital-Peter Smith 9000 cr
-Pat Jones 12000 cr

Capital -Peter Smith 7875 dr
- Pat Jones 7875 dr
- Mary Jackson 5250 dr

Goodwill - 21000 cr

Can someone please explain if there is an easier way of working out how they got the answers to the question or not?

How is 21000 devided for the share in the profits by ratio.

We live in Missouri, in the US, and purchased our first home for $43,000 in 1997. It was our primary residence for 3 years, during which we refinanced the mortgage for $50,000. After 3 years we turned it into a rental property and again refinanced as an investment property, this time for $60,000. After putting just over $20,000 in improvements into the property this year and last year we recently sold it for $78,000. My question is, are the capital gains taxes based on the original purchase price 10 years ago or on the amount of the mortgage we just paid off when we sold it?

Will a new company ask to see proof or a copy of my degree before hiring me?

She is elderly and she trusted him. She let him take over her finances and now she cannot even live off of her own retirement. He has run up her bills and put himself on a new house mortgage, used her name to borrow ten thousand dollars and lied to her to get her to co sign the loan. Used her to buy a new truck by letting her buy the truck and he put his name on the truck. He has not paid one red cent for anything and she barely had enough to feed herself when I came back home. She wants his name off of everything and I am trying to help her pay off some of this debt. The problem is that she will need long term at home care. I am caring for her here but I will need help and my brother is throwing his weight around telling her he will throw her out since his name is on everything. She can't even sell this expensive house SHE is paying for without his consent. She will need her income to help out with her care. She has been diagnosed with Alzheimer's. I do not know what to do?

Years ago I was given a gift. It was 1 square inch of land in Ireland. I lost the deed. I was told that it was purchased from the Rolling Stone magazine. I wish I knew and if I could request a copy of the deed. I was also told that it would be flagged with my name on it. Thanks for any help or suggestions.

This probably sounds like generally a stupid question to even ask.

I work part-time, but at the moment I'm working nearly full-time hours. 34-36 hours a week, and it's a bit too much for me. I have too much going on in life, but the thing is, I know that I'm needed at work. This is just a part-time job for this year while I attend to some things and research more about courses for next year. My employers seem pretty set on having me in at these hours, but I honestly cannot do it anymore. It may seem low, but I really need 20-25 hours a week, and nothing more.

At least now in my life.

How do I go about bringing this up in the most polite way I can?

I'm nervous when it comes to these things.

I'd consider this sexual harrassment... I was at work the other day. I went to use the washroom, while in there an older man 30-40 walked in. I was in the stall, of course, and he started called me stuff like, ******, and I was just like, what the hell. It was probably the most uncomfortable moment in my entire life, especially because I was in the bathroom.

Anyways, the guy must have used the urinal. He washed up, and then threw his pissy paper towel over the stall at me, and turned the lights off, and called me a ****** again. I mean. Clearly the guy had something terminally wrong with him. No one does that, and I'm still scarred. Like seriously. I can't even use that washroom anymore. I go to another one, because that wasn't just awkward, I felt so violated.

I haven't told my employers yet, because I'm not one to start one, but I'm seriously considering quitting now just because I feel so uncomfortable.

What would you do?

No this isn't a joke.

How profitable is the Las Vegas Strip? I've seen plans to build a bunch more hotels on the strip that each cost over a billion dollars to build. Are they really making that much profit on the strip that it can afford to keep growing like this? If so, how can I invest in the strip(as a very small time investor)?

Hi. I have a visa debit card provided by the bank, but it is extremely rare that i ever use it. It has been several months since i used it last. The reason i stopped using is because last year i purchased a 12 ounce for $2.56 using the debit card, but didn't know that i had no funds in account (the employer delayed the start of direct deposit by 1 week). And then i was fined $33. So the 12 ounce coffee cost me $35.56 altogether! After that i never used the debit card again, and only used credit card thereafter. But now the bank sends frequent letters to encourage use of debit card and that if i use debit card, i will be pre-approved for some other deals offered by bank. So should i start using debit card again?
