Most of the things that I want are much cheaper online and is basically more convient for me. Anyways, I'm 14. Do you think that I'm too young for a debit card? My mom told me that you pay monthly bills on a debit card. Is that true? I thought that you just pay for the debit card and you can just put any amount of money on there and stuff like that. Oh, and here's another question; When you buy something offline, don't you just type in the numbers on the debit card as if it was a credit card? I want to buy something off ebay. Is that safe. I know that anybody can scam you on any site, but I asking for the most part is it safe. One last thing. Can you do me a favor and find a company or whatever that only charges a one time fee and allows me to withdraw money and deposit money?( I barely know what I'm talking about. Hopefully you know what I am trying to say.)? Maybe this is some relevant information. I do have a bank account. It's a kid's bank account. Well, thanks for the help!! :)

A widow friend has as part of her deceased husband's estate a number of stocks from different companies. Current values are nearly $700,000 as we calculate it. He bought these from the companies themselves as he did not want to pay a brokers fees. Microsoft, Exxon, utilities, phamaceuticals, etc. (Is this called buying 'over the counter'?). She has boxes full of certificates and also gets a lot of dividend checks.

A financial advisor at her bank told her "not to worry about the stock flucuations as the stocks will remain at the value they were on the day he passed away". I thought this sounded crazy. Could this be true? Please explain either way.

I advised her to sell them and put the money in more stable accounts, but she cannot without succession.

She has three adult sons and they were reluctant to open succession as they think that inheritance taxes will take affect and take a large portion. I think they want to wait until she passes, thinking that will save tax.

Hi, I'm in a bit of a dilemma. I'm only 13 years old, and I need to make 25$ in 11 days. I'm seeing RENT on Broadway with some friends, so I need money to buy a special souvenir that I really want. I live in a really small town, and honestly there isn't many babysitting oppurtunities, or too many elderly people to help out. My mom and dad don't have anything they need me to do, plus they don't have money they want to give me since they're already giving me ticket and train money. I can't get a real job since I have to be 15 to work, so it seems like I have no other options. AND ONLINE SURVEYS ARE NOT AN OPTION!! They're dangerous and stupid. So any suggestions or comments would be awesome! Thanks in advance!! =]

Hi All,

I have a quick question. I just recently filed bankruptcy. Two weeks ago I want to court and none of my creditors showed up. After speaking with my lawyer, it seemed that I was all done with my part. Well,lLast week I received court documentation, stating that I had to go back to court 10/1/2007, (which is the hearing date), because the lienholder for my car filed a Relief of Automatic Stay.

What exactly does this mean? I had included my car in the BK and have just been waiting for them to pick it up. Does this mean I have to keep the car now? Do I have to go back to court on the hearing date? Please help. I'm freaking out.

Thank you so much

I own duplex's and I have a lady the was up front about being in prison for over 2 years because she sold drugs for a year. She said she did not use then, just sold them. She seems to regret what she did & she had grand kids that she wants to enjoy she said. She has 4 grown kids . She is on Parol for another 3 years. She want to move her 19 year old son & 17 year old future daughter in law in to for room mates to help out. Neither of them has ever been in trouble withe law & both have a job & the 17 year old is still in high school. I have been in this business for 45 years and don't usually rent to people with records. I do believe that she is honest about changing her life and she made one mistake & paid for it & still has to pay for it for the next 3 years. I believe under certain conditions some people deserve a chance. What is your feed back on this situation?

I'm a manager in the IT industry. I would like to know how other IT managers handle job stress in this business...

So much of our jobs depend on others to be sucessful and many times other people have agendas of their own. Some agendas are self serving, but some of them are business.

In any case, how do you manage stress? I know that excersize and nutrition play a part, but I'm more interested in how you handle the mental demands. I know I can keep my emotions out of it and I know it's only business. But what do you do when no matter where you turn, you can not make progress?

Some days are good and some days are bad, but the days that are bad cause me to want to leave what is a great company.

Going to the director for help and support is not an option. Just Like in your companies, a sign of management weakness is the beginning of a slow career death.

I'd like some feedback.

so if he creates a song, and plans to make it public, does he need to copyright it? what if he decides to make an album, does he need a record label to sign with?

also what are the benefits of creating your own record label?

A few days ago, I purchased a DVD from a seller on Ebay who lives about 3-4 hours away from me but I don't have a license so that's out of the question. Anyways, I purchased it and I was wondering if it would be okay since I don't understand the whole paypal account, credit card thing and the only safe way is to send a check in the mail but I vaguely remember someone telling me never to do that. This is a rare foreign video that isn't sold in any stores near me so I don't have any other choice except to trust the seller and send a check and wait a few days. Good idea? Bad idea? Thanks

In the year of 2007 I lived in a Kansas, however in the middle of that year I moved back to my hometown in Oklahoma. When I moved back I lived with a family member. I do work and I am wondering if I can put the address that I lived in Kansas before I moved back home to Oklahoma. The family member I live with is using his own household to file his own taxes. Can I use the address in Kansas, or will it raise a red flag for the IRS, b/c I live and work in Oklahoma and I put down a Kansas address? Or does it not matter at all, as long as I file faithfully?

I would also like to add that I did not work in Kansas, and that whenever I do my taxes they submit it electronically through my bank account, and not through the mail. The person I am living with I am not related to, so he is the only one that can claim that household. What about if I use P.O. Box in Oklahoma? I've seen people do it before, so I don't believe that would be a threat either, would it ?

As in, is it very reliable or is there a high chance for fraud as in the bidder promises something, you pay and you end up not getting the product at all?
