As in, is it very reliable or is there a high chance for fraud as in the bidder promises something, you pay and you end up not getting the product at all?

hardrockdesi4lyfe,

ebay is loaded with good sellers! unfortunately it is also loaded with scammers.

but it is also as safe as YOU make it!

remember a few things:

if you are buying on ebay, ALWAYS
pay through PAYPAL and fund it with a CREDIT CARD.

then if anything goes wrong and PAYPAL can't get you a refund, you then have the option of filing for a CHARGEBACK through your CC provider.

PAY SAFE, STAY SAFE!

NEVER, EVER send anyone WESTERN UNION!

NEVER click on a link in any email!

if you see the words NIGERIA, ROMANIA or CHINA, RUN LIKE THE WIND!

90% + of ALL DESIGNER items on ebay are FAKES, COUNTERFEITS or simply don't exist.

NEVER make any deals "off ebay", meaning you must bid and win an actual auction.

if a seller emails you and tells you he will sell to you w/o you being the WINNING BIDDER, report the email and ignore the offer!

You should check out the buyer's activity. If the buyer has had a sudden change from a few small things to a lot of expensive items then this is a sign of a hacked account.

Good feedback is helpful but watch that it has not been faked,

Anyone can put stuff up for sale so you take your chances .
eBay is just the host site .
Honest people sell there ,
Crooks sell there .

NEVER buy from anyone insisting on using Western Union ( the thieves preferred $$$ medium ) .
Pay by paypal .

Depends on the seller...
When you are on the screen for the product, look for a section labelled "Meet the Seller." Then click "Read Feedback Comments." It will tell you how many people got what they expected from a purchase.
