Most of the things that I want are much cheaper online and is basically more convient for me. Anyways, I'm 14. Do you think that I'm too young for a debit card? My mom told me that you pay monthly bills on a debit card. Is that true? I thought that you just pay for the debit card and you can just put any amount of money on there and stuff like that. Oh, and here's another question; When you buy something offline, don't you just type in the numbers on the debit card as if it was a credit card? I want to buy something off ebay. Is that safe. I know that anybody can scam you on any site, but I asking for the most part is it safe. One last thing. Can you do me a favor and find a company or whatever that only charges a one time fee and allows me to withdraw money and deposit money?( I barely know what I'm talking about. Hopefully you know what I am trying to say.)? Maybe this is some relevant information. I do have a bank account. It's a kid's bank account. Well, thanks for the help!! :)

What are you talking about? It's illegal for a child to have a debit card? You obviously don't know what you're talking about. I know that only an adult can purchase something online. And yes, I do have my parent's permission. But it's not illegal for a minor to have a debit card. And by the way, no thanks!! ;p

......so what you're saying is.... I can use a money order instead of a credit card. So ebay allows you to use money orders................ okay!! Thanks!!!

A debit card isn't an account; it's a way to access a checking account. A minor can't sign a contract, therefore can't have a bank account. To get a debit card, you need an adult to open a checking account with a debit card and then let you use the card.

Maybe you should look into pre-paid Visa cards (available at many local retail stores)

A debit card is totally unsafe online.

You would be better off confirming that what you want on ebay has the option of sending a money order. After you have won the item or made the purchase get the total including shipping and go to the post office or a local convenience store or wherever and buy a money order.

Kid, you must be smoking some good weed to think others are going to "do you a favor" and find a way for a minor to illicitly withdraw money, or do the other things you are suggesting. I don't care if you have 10 "kids' bank accounts," you are a MINOR and minors cannot get credit cards/debit cards, etc. It sounds to me like you are about to get yourself into trouble and want to find a way to buy things on the Internet through nefarious means. What you are considering will land you (and your parents) in a whole heap of trouble! Well, you're welcome!! :(

Ask your mom to help you out till you are 18 at least. No, you cannot get a debit card because you are not of legal age. Learn about money and deposits and all that "stuff" before you go charging.
