Truecredit.com is the best place to go. For $15 dollars a month they give you unlimited access to all 3 credit reports and scores. The earlier comment from the supposed loan officer about harming your score when you check it is false. You can pull your credit report for your own use as many times as you want without any penalty. It only hurts your score when you are actually applying for credit.

Dont give your SS# to anyone for credit reports, dont do them on line. Your info can be sold. multiple pulls lower your score. The bureaus will provide you with a free report annually. Dont feed into the paranoia about monitoring your score. Use a different # for your license number.

Yourself is the best place to "watch" for your credit report.
If you know that you are very good in paying on time and you don't have any accounts in collection, then you should expect a good credit report.
It is bad to check your report everytime you feel like it - if you will not use it to apply for a loan, don't check it all the time. The bureaus will deduct points everytime you get a report about your credit..

Those monitoring services are a waste of money.
If you space out your free reports from the 3 bureaus -- pull one every 4 months, you can monitor your report yourself.

Lifelock is the best. They prevent credit fraud from occuring- not call you after it happens like the rest. Check it out, I think its a good investment.
